DW12 Only Oval?
Does the Dallara DW12 only have an Oval version? Do not have the car to run on the street circuit or GP?

There is a road version (aero) as well. There are two Indy car series. Oval fixed (only oval), and the open setup series, wich runs both road and oval (like in real life). The open series is at Mid Ohio (road) this week.

I'm asking because I wanted to test the road version in Laguna Seca, but I could not get the "failed tech" message. I do not have Mid Ohio I made my first purchase with the DW12, so the question.

the failed tech has to do with the setup. if you check the setup you skould see that some parts arent good. either too high or too low.

i am saying this because i have the same problem with the car of tomorrow and the 2013 nationwide car. it always says failed tech, the car is either too low or too high. it doesnt matter wich setup or track it seems. i really hope you can find the solution for it. as i also hope to get it working properly. but i unfortunatly havent found it yet.

i mean the 2013 sprint cup car and the 2011 nationwide car.

If you load the track, then go to "garage" -> "iRacing setups", the road course setups there will not fail. There is no Laguna Seca specific one, but you can probably find one on the Indy car forum or with SetupSync.[iracingsetupsync.nickthissen.nl]

Same thing here. Tried the COT (2013 cup) and the baseline fails tech. Just load one from the "iRacing setups". Both cars you mention are not used for official racing any more, so there will probably not be many pre made setups for them.

But in this case I believe it is because of not being able to use the oval version in a road circuit. I wanted to know where and how to do to be able to ride the road version at Laguna Seca. Even for having made a skin, but for not being pro can not publish. But I still want to walk with the DW12 version road. If all goes well next month I'll buy Indianapolis.

If you enter a server running the DW12, at any road course , it is definitely the road version. The sim loads the appropriate version of the car automatically. If it failed tech, it's because the setup needs to be changed. As in it's too high, or too low, or some such thing. Sometimes iRacing updates the game and the old default setups do not work anymore, and they have update the setups later in a patch. If this is the case, go to the garage and check the various tabs, Tires, Chassis, etc, and look for any values that are flashing red, and change the setting until it stops flashing red.

The best bet to get setups is to visit the iRacing forum and enter the forum for that car, and look for a setups thread. Most car forums have them.If you can't find one for the track you want to run, ask. Most likely someone will post one for you.
