At its core, BLACKSUITE is about cinematic, visceral, stunt-based movement. Every action should feel like a scene out of an action movie—where choosing the right stunt in the right moment is half the battle.

Sliding behind cover to reload, diving over a table for that last-second headshot, and chaining rolls to stay alive—movement is the heart of our game, and making it flow just right is our obsession.

In our internal beta, the foundation is solid. The dive-to-roll combo already feels incredible, and some of our testers have fallen in love with the high cartwheel stunt (think acrobatic aerials, no hands on the ground).

Right now, we’re focused on making transitions between stunts butter-smooth—the kind of seamless flow that lets you stay in the zone without clunky interruptions. We’re fine-tuning how long you can stay in a slide before standing back up, how quickly different stunts can be chained together, and how to strike the balance between cinematic stunting and chaotic parkour.

We’re leaning toward a more strategic style of stunt-driven combat rather than bunny-hopping evasiveness. That means you’ll be rewarded for picking the right move at the right moment, not just spamming tricks. It’s still a work in progress, but we’re confident we’ll nail that sweet spot where action feels both stylish and tactical.

Time for a quick behind-the-scenes update on BLACKSUITE and what we’ve been working on lately.

In BLACKSUITE , every gun should feel different when you fire it. Each weapon has its own character: sometimes you’ll want to play it quiet and sneaky, and other times you’ll want to go full-on guns blazing and cause havoc. Our goal is to always give you the right tool for the job.

Right now, in our internal beta, players can test 3 pistols, 2 SMGs, and 2 shotguns. We’ve got more weapons planned down the line, but even with this first set, testers are already finding their own special favorites—which is a good sign.

These weapons shine in close-quarters firefights—the kind of cinematic, high-stakes battles BLACKSUITE is built for. Some come with silencers for stealth and recoil control, while others pack laser sights for pinpoint accuracy. Of course, that laser sight comes at a cost: it’s visible to everyone, making you easier to track down. A few higher-end weapons even feature both a laser sight and a silencer, when you really need that extra control.

Shotguns have been especially fun (and challenging) to develop. To nail that action movie power trip, every detail matters—the firing rate, the punchy muzzle flash, the puff of smoke, and the smooth pump between blasts. Get it right, and it feels incredible. We’re getting close to defining the BLACKSUITE way of how shotguns should behave.

We’re experimenting with slightly slower firing rates than most traditional shooters. It gives firefights a weightier, more tactical flow—and it matches the cinematic pacing we’re aiming for. This idea is still in testing, but so far it feels like the right direction.

We like to dissect the best scenes and find ways to bring that same feeling into BLACKSUITE , and reloads are a perfect place to do it.
