Well it's either the update where I added the ability to have a second player that's keyboard-only (and apparently have managed to make it crash on everyone's machine but my own somehow) or the update where I realized that I rebuilt with newer dev tools and had to change Steam's prerequisites to make sure that people have the proper runtimes installed.

If you can hold off updating, probably do so because apparently it just crashes right now and this is why it's not a good idea to make a patch for a game that you haven't touched in four years :)

The most recent update, now, is me backing out the last updates and so now the game is exactly what it was 4 years ago. Alas.
