Hi, @everyone
Thank you for sticking with us while we figure things out. As I've mentioned before, we've unfortunately missed our release date. We've sorted things out with Steam, and when talking with them about a new release date, they recommended waiting until after the Steam Summer Sale, pointing out that our release would likely get no visibility at all. We've decided to take their advice and set our new release date to July 15th.
In the meantime, we will continue development as usual. The extra two weeks will definitely help us polish a few things up. We are sorry for the delay, and to maybe make it up at least a little, we will update the demo next week with more content from the full game. More gameplay mechanics, more sets, new movies, and even the precious movie editor!
I hope that will keep you all busy. We are doing our best to launch the best game possible, worthy of its genre's legacy. Again, thank you all for your support. We'll see you all on July 15th!
I guess we'll wait and see. It might still be a good game despite my skepticism.
Once Steam reviewed their release, they recommended to the devs to wait until after the Summer sale to release because they’d get virtually no exposure during the sale and their release sales may suffer.
They decided to accept this recommendation because it allows them an extra couple of weeks to work on the game and flesh out features and fix bugs and such.
Personally, given the crap that gets released nowadays, I’d rather see a developer take extra time to work on the game and also shoot for the highest exposure, because no exposure means not enough sales to stay in business which means a dead game at some point.
Seriously, what kind of petulant child are you? Just because a game gets delayed a couple of weeks, you throw your toys out of the pram like a baby.
Get over yourself, you're pathetic.
Plus, it's obvious from your original post that you haven't bothered reading the dev updates and have no idea what caused the delay. The fact that you expected the devs to set realistic expectations for an unexpected delay is laughable to say the least, and if you really had lost all interest in the game, you wouldn't have bothered posting here at all and would've just removed it from your wishlist and moved on.
For future reference, Steam isn't going to change their policies or practices because one single person threatens not to buy a game. For every one of these whining posts, there are 100 other people who will buy the game when it is released, so you won't be missed.
Please tell me what part of my post relates to a child throwing a temper tantrum? Was I rude? Did I throw insults? No, I didn't. I simply stated my frustrations. Don't like my post? Move on with your own childish tantrum.
LOL coming back with saying I’m throwing a tantrum on a thread you started that serves no purpose other than to notify the community that you’re not going to buy the game because it didn’t release when YOU wanted it to is laughable, and tells me there’s no point in continuing this conversation, as you’re not capable of speaking like an adult.
Keep whining if you want, and literally no one cares if you don’t buy the game. I’ll even buy an extra copy to cover the one you’re not going to buy and lose out on.
Good day.
Glad I could give you a laugh ;)
