Stupid question, but what happens when the time runs out?
I thought I selected the easy mode where there is no time limit and thought that maybe the time clock was just there for effect or something, so I have been exploring, but I just got a warning that there is only 4 days left and I feel like I just started looking around.

This is a stupid question I know and I'm probrably going to catch hell for asking it but I have to know, does the game end if the time runs out and I'm still playing?

don't hate, this is my first Dead Rising game.

No this is my first. I thought I read someplace that you could select a mode where there was no time clock? I guess i just read it wrong. Oh well I still love the game, I'll get used to it.
(But, just in my own opinion, this really should be an option with a game with this much detail, because now I find myself rushing through and I feel like I'm missing a ton of stuff.)

I'm also having a hard time figureing out some things, like I have saved about 5 people (survivors?), they all thank me and run away to safety I suppose, but when I look at the bulliten board at the safe houses there are no survivors in there?

What am I doing worng?

Also, no matter where I save it keeps spawing me in the same garage about 400M from where I saved, and even though the objectives i did are still done I have to go back and kill a ton of walkers that I already killed? WTF is that about. Just makes the game seem repetitive.

Games set up like this make me nuts. lol , and don;t get me wrong I LOVE the game and I don't mean to whine, I just have such little play time anymore I have to squeeze an hour here and an hour there, it's frustrating in 2014 to not be able to save where and when I want.

I guess I'll just have to play through it a coupla times to try to figure everything out.

thanks Jon

This is one of the downsides of checkpoint save systems. It records your performed actions but doesn't save the environment on the spot. A matter of development choice really.

well, what happens depends on whether or not you sucessfully complete the main story missions. if you arent finished with the Story by the time the timer runs out, youll get a bad ending. however, if you do make it through the Story on time, depending on certain actions, youll either complete the story and be able to replay it, or go into "Overtime", which is basically an extended Story mode, where youre given extra time to finish a few final objects before getting an alternative ending (Overtime can be failed as well as the main Story FYI)

hope this helps, and i hope i explained it thoroughly enough for a newcomer
