There should be the ability to remove attribute points on a character that has reached level 50 so you can inflate the difficulty or play with a given style without having to completley start your character from scratch. Maybe someone will make a mod that will do this.
DR3 nightmare mode it's way simpler and dumber than the first 2 (3 if we count OTR), you have the time to do almost everything you need to do and you also receive pretty OP weapons and veicles after few hrs into the game...and yet...people continue to wine about the timer...
i'm replaying DR2 in these days cause DR3 doesn't run well enough to enjoy my time with it so i will wait till most of the issues are being sorted out, but i've played enough to have an idea about the differences between the 2 (DR2 vs DR3)...
i will never get why they can't play something that fits their tastes more instead of trying to change something that's good, unique and rewarding as it is...think about it, it's pretty safe to say that there is no other game like dead rising, while there are tons of games which involve killing hordes of zombies, why try to make DR another zombie horde fest instead of preserving and improving its uniqueness instead?
If you can point me to a game with the same gameplay and no time limit, I'll go play that instead.
dead island
No-one is stating that "all timers must be removed!", but a mode that incorporates no timers would be nice to those of us who just enjoy the sandbox experience. It annoys the hell out of me when I see someone asking how to personalise the game's experience and then get shot down by over-zealous fans. We're all fully aware of how the game is supposed to be played, but is a sandbox mode after you've completed the game such a big deal for people to wrap their head around?...
DR3 is a fun, over-the-top, unrealistic and crazy experience, and I love that side of it. So why do people who want their 'fun to remain unconstricted' need to be forced into playing with "realistic timers". Honestly, the OP (and people who've posted many posts similar to this) just want to have fun, to enjoy the game, just like the rest of us... Does it really matter that much how they do it?
If a person plays the game without timers, it doesnt hurt the devs or ruin the experience, it allows them to experience the game in their own preferrable style. They've paid for the game, forcing them to play with timers if they'd like to try the game without only hurts their experience.
TL;DR - Accept other people. There's nothing unreasonable about wanting to open up a sandbox experience further. Some people just enjoy gaming at their own pace. Gta, Prototype, Assassin's Creed, inFamous, etc. etc... these games all provide people with that endless option that isn't part of the main story, thus wanting to play DR3 in a similar way isn't so unreasonable.
/ Rant over. My apologies forum mods / Capcom. This wasn't aimed at anyone in particular
Yes, that is what I say indeed. That is the Dead Rising formula.
No, that is not what I say. Stop putting words in my mouth.
I never stated that you said that, and the post was indirect. It's a sandbox game, if you like the formula, you play it that way. If other people want to play it without the 'timed formula', why is that difficult to comprehend? It seems so illogical for people to fight what is essentially an in-game "play-time's over" clock. Deliberate limitations in a sandbox game isn't to everyones tastes.
For example, this could easily be solved with the following:
You have mode selections when you start up the game, Completionist, Casual, Singleplayer etc etc. After completing the story mode once, the game could unlock the following: "Singleplayer Endless", "Nightmare Endless (singleplayer/co-op)" & "Endless (Open Co-op)". These modes would disable the timer's and missions in game, opening the world for people to play freely without impacting the formula.

I mean thats just an idea, and this is a sandbox game. Theres no need for people to fight, nothings being taken away from anyone..
ok, so to allow people like you to enjoy i have to ruin my fun...yea, sounds reasonable, since there are tons of games which allow to do the things you listed, but NO...every game on earth have to allow to do the things you said and allow people like you to enjoy...you know what, i have fun when i challenge myself, when the game respect me as a player and respect my skill as human being and not holding my hand from start to finish....i don't go on COD forums saying that the game should be more realistic because i have arma which suits my needs
the devs already found a solution to this problem, that solution it's called "sandbox mode" in OTR, but for some stupid reason decided to remove it and giving us "nightmare mode" just to give us a name because i haven't seen anything nightmarish about that mode and i can assure you that is way easier than DR2 normal mode...but unfortunately i understand why they've done that...DR3 is one the games of the moment, launch title on the next gen console, they had to make sure that as much people as possible can play the game and not being frustrated because their brain can't go over the option menu to see what the buttons does if it's not clearly stated during the tutorial...am i right?
TL;TR - it's useless, i can wine all the time i want but the reality it's only one...we are in minority and will always lose...
