Insanely Low Framerate, Me or Optimization?
Well clearly I bought the game, I was skeptical of course but I never have had any problems with the other games Capcom ported to PC, so I went ahead and bought Dead Rising 3.

Now I have not exprienced any problems with crashing (besides when I exit the game it crashes or I have to kill the process in the task manager), but my framerate in this game is HORRIBLE. Even on the lowest settings, lowest resolution, lowest everything, it does not seem like with how low the settings are and how the graphics look it warrants to run this slow on my build. It is very frustrating, please tell me it is the optimization of this port and not my build, I don't have the money or feel like dealing with buying new components yet since I just put a little bit into my computer a few months back. I need to know if this is how newer games are going to run though.

Anyways here are my specs:
Sapphire ATI Radeon 6870 1GB GDDR5
AMD Athlon II x4 620 (2.6 ghz Quad Core)
12 GB DDR3 Ram 1333hmz

I feel the rest of my specs aren't really applicable, if they are though I will post them.

Optimization is poor, you can watch TotalBiscuits video on Youtube about it.

Having said that, my game runs pretty good. When I say that I mean that I am playing with most settings maxed, at full resolution (ie no upscaling). But I still get big dips in framerate. Running around inside a prison I get a stable 100 fps, as soon as I get close to the exit, I'm down to 50-70. When I'm outside and there's lots going on, dips down to 30 are frequent.

It's the game and this is a problem for a lot of people. Even TotalBiscuit with a Titan graphics card struggled to keep this game at even around 40 FPS.

So unless they patch things up A LOT, expect the game to run very poorly every now and then.

Drivers more like it if the settings don't matter.
Sure the optimization isn't good but lowering the LOD slider should have you running silky smooth.

im guessing my old q6600 and 5850 6gigs of ram wont run this game then :( shame

While I agree that the optimisation leaves a lot to be desired; it seems very inconsistent between PC's. Was he playing at 4K? At 1080 with a single Titan, my average is 70-85fps.

Optimization is really Poor on this game.. it even drops below 30Fps with the Lock enabled in Cutscenes.. and it doesn't look smooth at 30Fps like it does on the Xbox One.. it's stuttering and hitching all over the place on my Rig :/ specs are in my Profile just incase someone is curious.. it's really dissapointing.

I'm pretty sure I can play the game on my laptop, my frame rate is ass I'm barely getting 10.

It won't. My 5870 coud barely chug along on the lowest possible settings and it often dipped under 20fps, completely unplayable. This is both a demanding game and a poorly optimized game. (even the cutscenes were choppy... there's a limit to how badly you can "optimize" your game...)
Just glad I tried before buying since I wasn't sure if I could run it after seeing TB's vid on how poor of a port it was.
