How to put hat on head.

Hello guys !

Maybe it is stupid question but I'm new in game and I found hat. I have it in hand, how to equip it ? (I'm playing with xbox controller)

Some hats are actually not hats but weapons. If you are carrying the "hat" then it isn't actually wearable.

For example there are two types of servbot mask in the game, one that you can wear (It has a little clothing symbol on it) and one that you can put on a zombie (It has a novelty mask icon on it).

Clothing will be instantly worn when you use it.

I'd like to know this too. As far as I can tell though, some hats are classed as weapons and not clothes and can't be equipped e.g. the yellow construction worker hat. I'm not sure though. It's pretty confusing.

Haven't tried it yet, but do the cones work too?

You can put cones on a zombies head but I haven't found one that Nick can wear but I am missing about 20 pieces of clothing so it is possible a wearable one is out there somewhere.

Hats you pick up are actually not, "Hats" but weapons, that you can put on zombies with a heavy attack.
clothes for nick are put on automatically when you interract with them, and if you interract with the same item you put it back.
