i got this to work on my Radeon HD 6850 on low by allocating more Vram in system management it runs ok only get FPS drops to about 5 fps when a bunch of zombies on screen at once with heavy combat other than that it runs smooth roughly 15-20fps

i am playing a friends copy !!!

i have 6870 oftn 15-20 fps and its horrible with everything that i could disabled disabled and with everything else set to lowest values

thats what i meant stalker they were saying the min requirements >high end card yet my card can run this game and its roughly 3-4 old card (old as in its not the latest and greatest card) yet i bought it new last year thats why i say its inflated i bet a Radeon HD 6900 series GPU would have no problem running this in medium !!!!

5 fps dips not consistant while i get about 15-20fps its still playable ive played games with worse FPS due to server issues not hardware (secret world) but still if my GPU is a 6850 and DR3 is plyable on low then a 6900 series should have no problem running DR3 on low-medium

You did not tell us anything about your CPU. Its the core part here or in any game where is lots of chracters on screen

ya the CPU is dated by 4 years but even a slightly better 1 may boost perfomance certainly not the min required CPU specs they advertised !!

I have AMD Phenom II X6 1055T OCed to 3.4 GHZ thus better than your CPU.
I have MSI 6850 OC edition, which has higher memory clocks than stock 6850, almost close to 6870, and yeah, the game runs like crap as you said. 6850 is BELOW the minimum requirements for this game.

i have a hd 6970 2gb ddr5 and an i3-3220 @3.30ghz with 8 gb of ram, i'd like to know if the low fps that i'm having are due to the game optimization or because i'm mostly out of the minimum specs...i'm asking this cause my radeon hd 6970 has similar performance as the gpus listed in the minimum and raccomended system specs, so i don't know if i should wait for a patch or leave the game in wainting until i buy the proper hardware to run it...

PS: i know that my gpu is not as powerful as a 7870 and a 7970, but as i've said, looking from some benchmarks comparison on internet it doesn't look too much inferior as the other 2 gpus, but maybe i'm wrong on this one

what i can say is that the game runs pretty much the same if i set everything to high or everything to low, but i'd like to hear other people opinions, i do not pretend to run this game smoothly (60 fps all maxed out) on my system even if my gpu is out of the minimun specs, but some medium settings with an average of 20/25 fps would be good for me until i upgrade my machine

On a more serious tone, welcome to PC gaming. In PC gaming land we're usually playing on ~60fps instead of console land where some guys keep suggesting that 30fps is "really the best experience" because their lousy middle-class pc clones can't handle a full 60fps. Or even more.

Agree. I have 670gtx and game runs with 900p render at 60fps. Tried to play 30fps in 1080p and just can't do it, too much tearing on my monitor (and with V-sync turned on controls are sluggish).
