Game doesn't run in full screen
When I load the game the screen goes black, then kicks back to the desktop, I can see about 60% of the game screen running it what looks to be "windowed" mode but I can't resize/move the window around.

Same here... I've disabled all but one monitor, reinstalled nvidia drivers and spent the last 1,5 hours screaming at my computer as the game in addition to becomming windowed mode with 40% of the game outside of the screen and no easy way to get back to fullscreen... also starts controlling the character so that he constantly keeps walking in certain directions + starts grabbing all the zombies instead of hitting/shooting them... I'm done with this crap, how do you get a refund?

I have no idea, but be patient :) let them fix their ♥♥♥♥, and if they dont, go nuts

I remember a time where games where released as working software and not re-labled buggy betas.

Simple fix. Hold alt and press enter.

If in the future, for other games, you find alt and enter don't work, try f11.

Yeah, it felt like asking the old "Is it plugged in?" question. Worth a shot though. :)

Try going to C:\Users\User\Documents\my games\Dead Rising 3

Open rendersettings and find FullScreen and set it to true

Render Settings
Language = en
ScreenWidth = 1920
ScreenHeight = 1080
WindowLeft = 312
WindowTop = 160
WindowWidth = 1932
WindowHeight = 1092
FullScreen = true

You could try setting your custom resolution here as well. If that fails I'd try just forcing it to one screen in the gpu control panel.

Sadly its there as off the standard, i checked it out ... But i saw somewhere else that they lack some Multi MOnitor support :( so i guess we just have to wait and see

It doesn't work if you set the custom resolution, along with making full screen = true then making it a read only file?

For fun I'd try the Steam launch options as well.

-fullscreen -height <height> -width <width>

Same issue, also massive screen tearing with vcync on or off.
Alex Sep 5, 2014 @ 11:15am
Same here. i can play only in window mode ( and cant force it to go full screen
Claira Oswald Sep 5, 2014 @ 11:35am
I have the same issue. 3 x 1920x1200.
zector Sep 5, 2014 @ 12:03pm
I have normally have 2x 1920x1200 but I turned one of the monitors off (deactivated it in windows) and the problem still persists, so it's not multi monitor thats the issue either. Annoying as ♥♥♥♥ :/

Clarification: The game starts an runs in full screen but from time to time it goes into windowed mode with 40% of the game below and to the right of the display area + I have an issue with movement and action keys becomming "stuck" in the game until you figure out what key it is and press it again. Neither of these problems exist in any of the other games I play.

Also there is no other applications running other then steam (I disabled steam intergration with games to rule that out) so It's not a mater of an application "stealing" the attention from the game either

I have the same issue.

I have tried almost everything. I can run Titanfall on ultra. And I have only one monitor, so I can't figure out the issue.

Would love if someone could find a fix. Tried everything possible. Changing lauch commands in steam, alt+enter, changing rendor documents and even editing the launch option through AMD Catalyst... Nothing works.

I run the game on maximum settings but locked to 30FPS (game quality to full, resulution to 1920x1200 and everything on highest setting except damn motion blur that I turned off)

i7-3770k @stock base speed but 4,3ghz turbo speed.
16GB RAM
Two GTX760 cards in SLI, not that they have worked with nvidia to make a SLI profile for the game yet though... I tried forcing SLI manually but that just makes the game operate in slowmotion with bad framerate so I use just one of the cards playing this game.
Intel SSD

I need to stop buying games not developed entirely for PC I guess, seems everything else is made in java or something equally bad...
