i was hoping to play this (just bought it), but the games performance is really bad for me, 20-25 fps despite unlocking the frame rate lol. i'm thinking i may try it on linux later and see if it helps since it would be running as vulkan instead of directx11. as right now no matter what settings i use it was the same fps, and using 14% of my gpu at most.

hoping dead rising 4 runs better or else i'll probably refund.

do you know of any methods to fix the stuttering while throwing stuff or to get the inventory to not open and close like crazy?

honestly this is one of the best dead rising games but it being capped at 30 fps and broken with an uncapped fps limit ruins it. been out since 2014 so i doubt they will ever fix it

Funny enough after uncapping the fps, you also need to make sure it's not going higher then 100 fps or else, things will break. So you need it to be capped at 100

there's more then one way, depending on your gpu
AMD has Radeon chill
NVIDIA also has it in his panel, not sure where
Riva tuner (msi afterburner) can also do it, but it's more of a global config

All I had to do my end was enter the in game options and select 2560x1440 (100hz) and then enabled vsync. I have not had to edit any files.
