Nope. Here is a location where the original price is $64.71 USD being treated as a premium item but marked down on a sale value at $35.99. This is partially due to the fact that Capcom hasn't made it widely known about the basic version getting the DLC for free. In fact, the only place, that appears to list this info is the stickied thread on the Steam forums. Their own site has little to no information and doesn't even say this. http://www.unlimitedgamestore.com/dead-rising-3-apocalypse-edition-steam-cd-key-pre-order.html?keyword=dead
I could have purchased the basic version which is still being sold by a lot of retailers for $10 cheaper had I known that the basic version gets a free upgrade. Both the basic version and AE version are being sold online, not just the AE version. Keys are actively available for BOTH. This should not be the case and is entirely Capcom's fault and this can be further verified by the fact that those with the basic edition's key are having issues getting the free dlc atm.
No, once again I shall make it clear. The post at the top, by a developer, specifically states that all pre-purchased and other copies sold in the future of the base version will automatically be upgraded to AE version. From this point on any new keys released by Capcom will be for AE only, that is the only difference. Keys already sold to retailers and online venders prior to this may be either version. This is one of the reasons why so many people are having issues with upgrading to their free DLC from the base version while those with AE get it automatically without any upgrade.
I have no idea why you simply assumed that is a non-authorized key store based off no evidence showing such. Steam isn't the only digital retailer for PC titles. Are you familiar with Green Man Gaming which is another well known digital vendor? Same thing. Here is a site that provides a list of several and their current prices so you can find the best deal: http://www.dlcompare.com/games/buy-dead-rising-3-677#pc
That site includes the one I am refering too in previous posts.
Capcom is at fault as they haven't properly provided info on a wide enough visible scale to avoid this issue. As stated earlier, Steam is the only place that even states that AE is being treated as the only version now and the basic version being discontinued and any with the basic version get a free upgrade. However, thats only stated on Steam in a stickied thread on their forums and no where else. Double checking this it appears Capcom pulled the EXACT same stunt with the Tribute pack DLC free upgrade at physical retailers and still charged extra for the Day One edition on the Xbox One version while offering the DLC for free to those who got the standard.
The site you linked is not an authorized reseller. They even give help on VPN activations. Most of those sites that tells you that they sell CD-keys for cheap prices are not autorized. They've should have an MSRP to follow, and these sites do not follow them. That comparison site only links to unauthorized sellers. Use Cheapshark instead if you want deals on sites that are authorized.
Ok let me make this very clear. Even the first post by the developer covers the fact that there are still, technically, two different versions for keys hence you get the upgrade vs getting the content per standard. The exact issues playing out where people are not getting the DLC are where those upgrading from the basic are having issues. This isn't a discussion, this is a fact that you continue to ignore despite even the developer stating it. The original price was marked as $64 for pre-orders at Gamestop/Steam/etc. for the AE prior to release.
The sites I pointed at ARE authorized retailers. So far you have not given an explanation as why you believe it is unauthorized. None of the sites you listed from that link have an MSRP posted on them, either. MSRP is not required by law but an established concept where if retailers do not sell at the price requested by a developer that developer is likely to no longer allow any of their games to be sold there which can have wide spread negative effects for a company, especially if done to an umbrella company. The ones on the site you listed are well known western sites. The ones from the site I listed are primarily european sites which is why you are unfamiliar with them and simply assume they are unathorized. Helping with VPN activation. The keys are acquired from industry suppliers and the VPN is for Russian/Poland keys. Of course, they are much smaller company then one like Gamestop hence an online only format. Even Green Man Gaming is relatively small and is growing hefty over the past 2 years.
Also, trust me on this, those sites are not authorized. Green Man Gaming is, but not for example Kinguin isn't. OKS isn't either and neither is GameKeys4All. Most of them are based in Asia where they get the keys cheap to resell. Do you really think publishers would be okay with supplying stores with RU keys that sells for less?
No, those sites are mostly European based and their currency choices are USD, Euro, Pound. You have no evidence to support your statements of them being unauthorized and haven't made any effort to provide any such proof other then you say it is. They don't intend for them to sell Russian keys at such low prices, that said, they are acquiring the keys throuhg industry vendors. Doesn't mean that a company may or may not practice shady business, even major names such as Intel, AMD, Walmart, etc. have their own bad history. You don't make a solid case. At least you aren't throwing around bleep this and bleep that comments though. I originally put off buying it from Steam, pre-order, even though I loved the original Dead Rising and less so the second one because of the larger price tag that has since dropped and thats including that I had been hyped for a PC release since it was shown for the XBox One.
I've seen one person mod the game already and unlocked the Frank West outift... So the files are already in the game... I don't know why Wbacon or Capcom couldn't mention this themselves...
