played DR4 on xbox and in short ........... avoid DR4, i don't know what were the devs thinking when making DR4, pretty much undo everythings that make DR a cool game.... so yes DR3 is way better.

from what i gather, it seems like this is the case. i never completed DR because of console restraints. i did complete DR2 and loved it. DR3 just makes me miss 2 but if what everyone is saying is right and 4 is nothing like the others, than i wouldn't even bother.

No, don't buy dead rising 4.
It's stripped down on alot of the stuff that made dead rising fun to begin with like gore and picking up virtually anything around you to use as a weapon. Just watch Crowbcat's videos on it, it made me change my mind emediatly.

hell no, tried it, deleted it. not even free. dead rising 4 its not a dead rising.
they removed everything that makes dead rising good and left the combos + the zombies, thats all you get. no history, no fun, no improvements, no coops, no psycos, no funny survivors...

Each dead rising, to most fans, has been worse than their previous one.

DR1 > DR2 > DR3 > DR4.

DR1 and DR2 are the best in many fans eyes, with DR2 Off the record being preferred over DR2 normally.

DR3 is still a good game, and many still enjoyed it, but DR4 is a disaster. I believe DR4 is the first in the series where everything mechanically has been a downgrade. I am a huge DR fan and have completed all of them, but DR4 was the first I had to stop playing, it's just bad.

The fact that you even consider DR4 being comparable to any other DR as a matter of opinion, makes me question your own motives. It's well known that DR4 is a downgrade mechanically, and it's been proven and commented on by many.

You can do the research if you want to; what makes you think what I stated isn't the most common opinion?

I mean, it's not even defendable. DR4 outraged many fans, and it's the furthest from what the original captured, while also being the worst in sales and success.
