Is this a "simpler" version of Football Manager?

If so, I'm interested...

FM is very, very good, but I find that the complexity level at this point has gotten a bit out of hand (for my tastes, anyway). I was hoping to find seomthing a bit more simple, with a nice presentation, yet sill with good mechanics in the background. From the limited info I've seen so far, this game might be it.

Has anyone tried it out yet? Can I get some first impressions? To be honest, at that price, I might just take a chance regardless...

Yes. I don't know about this game, but the PC Fútbol titles were generally very good.

Well I have more than 55 hours in FM 2013 and I still prefer any Pc Futbol to it

Yes. This game is MUCH better than Football Manager.

It has just enough complexity to be very involving. It also has the option to delegate responsibilites to assistant managers, coaches, etc... AND it's not as cut and dry as the spreadsheet Football Manager.

I think the problem that Football Manager has is that there is so much information and so much complexity, that even in classic mode I feel that I am working instead of playing a game. For me it is nice to be the manager but also make decisions in terms of shop, stadium, etc.

Other than that FM is a really good game, but I prefer Fifa Manager for example, but for me the king is Pc Futbol 2001. Hopefully the next version of FX Manager will be closer to it.

So.. I was just wondering, this JUST got released? (2nd june 2014)
Am a little bit confused, is this a re-release or was this game not available in germany before or just some attention-seeking?

The game FX Futbol 2.0 was released in Spain before Christmas. At the end of January they release FX Eleven, kind of the Steam version of FX Futbol 2.0 but without some features. They have been patching it and at the end of May they changed the name FX Eleven to FX Football and now both versions (Football in steam and Futbol 2.0 in physical copy) are the same.

They are going to release FX Futbol 3.0 in Spain in Fall 2014 but I don't know if they will update FX Football to it or they will release a new version in Steam. People buying the physical copy of FX Futbol 2.0 are getting also the steam key for FX Football.

i love FM (played it since champ Man Italia '95), for me this game looks interesting and i am thinking about buying it, I'm hoping for a slightly different gameplay experience, i don't expect it to be anywhere near as good a game as FM though.

I disagree that FM has taken a bad turn, it has alwyas evolved and new features come and sometimes they go depending on how well they work and the communities reaction to them.
