Is this a "simpler" version of Football Manager?
If so, I'm interested...

FM is very, very good, but I find that the complexity level at this point has gotten a bit out of hand (for my tastes, anyway). I was hoping to find seomthing a bit more simple, with a nice presentation, yet sill with good mechanics in the background. From the limited info I've seen so far, this game might be it.

Has anyone tried it out yet? Can I get some first impressions? To be honest, at that price, I might just take a chance regardless...

If you know the game PcFutbol 2005 this is the a new version created from scrach, but looks very promising , for the moment is not simple but not complicaetd because you can set to automatic a lot of things like the player contract (renew) the training sesions....

This game is more a game than FM. I mean, FX Eleven is not as exhaustive, but has a lot of fun. If you want, you can manage it very easily. You can automatize most of the task, and you can choose not to see the match (I hate that from FM). But it has also his difficulties.

I recomment you to give it a try...

Would be nice to se some videos... Think this might be worth buying. FM has gone on a wrong path in last couple of editions. Hopefully this is as fun as some said.

To be fair, last version I played was 2012... has it gone down since then?

Maybe even more reason for me to try this one...

So whats the conclution guys? Is this game any good? TBH FM has been crap since it changed from Championship Manager.

I don't know if you guys have tried it, but FM now has a Classic mode which takes the game back to its roots, becoming much faster and more streamlined in the process. Might be worth checking that out before dropping money on this.

There is a mod to change all teams, players, and so as well.

FM didn't change from Championship Manager, they are two different franchises that have nothing to do with each other. Championship Manager just pretty much died when FM got all the popularity, I think the last Championship Manager was 2010.

Championship Manager and FM are the same game. Sega who owns the IP changed it because Eidos owns the CM IP

To simply answer the original question: YES it is a simpler version of FM and YES it is easier to navigate in this game and YES it is fun. Finallly a Football Manager game that tries to concentrate on the basics and does them well.

Well from what i seen It is really nice and good we have something else than FM. If you rember 2000/01 season which was one of the best to date this reminds me a lot of it. Just less leagues. FM was trying to become as complex as it can be but somewhere in process it became less apealing. One of my major concerns is how more leagues selected made it slow as ♥♥♥♥. Everyone who plays FM loves those massive stats and wants to get as man as it can be..SO adding leagues is a must. .... but this is not about FM :)

I will say that the worst thing on football manager is that you have to play the game yourself and playing an entire season is verey exhausting or tiring. The last couple of versions of football manager sigames really hasn't improved anything like adding new features or improving the editor Itself. I don't think that football manager is as good as It used to be and this football manager game looks like It will give football manager a run for It's money. One big advantage is that the price is way too high for football manager from sigames and I expect that when buying a a game that costs $39.99 or more that the company improves the gameplay, graphics, adds new features makes the game easier to play better understable to play, and existing features are still free that doesn't cost extra to buy which is a reason why this new type of football manager is better then sigames football manager.
