How do you get more health potions?
I've arrived at what appears to be the second boss fight.

The thing is, I gave away a health potion, not realizing that the next time I went to the re-charge station I'd be down a potion forever.

Now only one of my potions is repleneshing, whereas before it was two.

What am I supposed to do - start over? I'm seriously getting my butt handed to me. I can't do this on just one potion?

Rule of thumb, if you need potions for bosses you are doing it wrong.
Dont start over, the monk you saved will increase the strength of all your potions much later in the game.
Also you will increase your potion number a lot as you play, so dont worry about that.
The second boss fight should be done without getting hit at all.
Very few attack patterns and a looong opening.
The only thing to be careful about are the minions he summons, but by now you should be able to dispatch them with ease.

You can find empty bottles in chests throughout the game.

One shoud be available in the place where you fought the first boss, behind two bookshelves. Roll into them to break them, then roll under the gate. There should be a chest behind it.

P.s.: I never realized that giving the monk a bottle takes one away from you!

P.p.s.: I beat the second boss exclusively with shots from the gauntlet from a distance. Maybe try that!

Really! You've got the same problem. Ha! That's great.

I am guessing I am in the last quarter of the game and I currently have 9 bottles. So don't worry, it gets better. Maybe consult a wiki to find out some available bottle locations.

That said, the second boss is more or less meant to be beaten from a distance with the gauntlet, I feel.

Okay, I'm still learning the mechanics. Thanks, I'll try the glove more.

Go back to the first area of the game, you missed a bottle there.
Here's a video from my guide that shows you where to find it at the 8:10 mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwrILQkYuRc#t=490

You can get another empty bottle in a secret area at the 56:10 mark, but it's a little harder to get since you have to run through a high level area.

Hmmm. I gave away that potion as well, and I had 4 potions each time I died on that second boss. So it would have been five. Which means there are three bottles behind you somewhere. The only one I remember getting is the one in the secret room behind the bookcases you have to dive-roll through. I wonder if our builds start us with different amounts of potions?

It depends on what class you play, warrior starts with 2, thief with 5.

Wow. Thanks.

I never would've discovered that.

I've got 9 bottles right now just after beating Worshiper (I'm pretty sure they spelled it wrong, should be Worshipper?!?!) but I am a Rogue, idk if that has something to do with it.

There is a free bottle in the first area before the first warden boss if you backtrack.

After Commander you can get 2 bottles in the vicinity of Burnt Watchtower.

Rogue starts with extra bottles compared to the other classes to make up for his low defense and HP. If you really want extra heals you could probably abuse it though, by ignoring agility and going Warrior/Cleric path. There's also the restat option which will let you redistribute your stats.

Yeah I just started playing with the rogue and I have bottles coming out of my arse. Tbh id rather play as the heavy for the shield or the rogue for the speed and energy, the all rounder seems a bit ♥♥♥♥ imho.

I have 12 atm I think the max is about 20 so alot. I started with 3 and upgrading vititality gave me more bottles, each bottle gave me more health and empty health potions scattered everywhere. Just grind out enemies in the area to get xp to put into vitality.

I reached the Beast boss, and I only have 3 potions ... is this normal? it is pretty difficult to beat him with only 3 potions with you!
