What magic system for Warrior?
I've fiddled with each of the three classes, and I think I'm going to go with warrior build.

I'm wondering about the magic though.

There's just no way to tell which system's the most fun. Any thoughts about magic from those of you who know the game?

I disregarded magic until I put a point into "Rage".

It gives you unlimited stamina, while also boosting your attack for a short while. Now any tough enemy is a cakewalk, just pop rage and beat him down mercilessly. It's kinda overpowered, I fought a boss and he didn't know what hit him, it was over in literally seconds!

The other spells in the tree are pretty much worthless compared to rage, though.

In my opinion, green magic is the most fun. Stab and Shift are great.

I used Solace (blue) magic for my warrior, making him a Paladin, and that magic is POWERFUL. Prayer regens your mana, and appears to last a lot longer than the Deception version (haven't tried Brawling magic). Shelter, doesn't tell you it does this, but it regens your health while in effect, in addition to giving you a strong defense boost. Daze opens up any melee enemy to free hits and lowers their defenses at the same time. Punishment will stun most enemies that hit you during it's duration, making them unable to defend themselves for a few seconds.

You'll need to put several points into faith, and equip the mana regen trinket to get the most out of Solace magic, but my Paladin rarely needs to use potions, and has easy ways to deal with almost all enemies.

Also went Warrior/BLUE magic for Paladin.

It is strong for most enemies, although a few can counter this build, it is the best turtle mode in the game, and in the end you can kill just about anything.

Well, now I know what magic class I choose for NG+ :) Thanks for the info, Coldhands!

I've only played the rogue so far, but I really like shift and stab. You don't even need line of sight or any type of lock-on to connect taht stab move. And shift is nice for sprinting through areas and attacking everyone from behind. :)

Super interesting. I actually went with warrior and the red power thing. Am finding it tough going.

I read that in new game+ you get to pick a 2nd spell line. So maybe it's worth playing through again to get red+green, or if you aren't far trying out a new save game file and playing with green to see if it fits your style.

A went with a Warrior for that high strength and vitality but gambled with deception magic. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did I pick the right choice. Prayer version regens stamina which is worse then the other two versions. Stab is a saviour. The damage is crazy and it can lock enemies in place giving you a chance to hack away or flee. Its range is bad at level 1 but level 3 is solid. Mimic adds double damage but to be honest it only added a little bit more and ran out quite quick even at level 3. Shift now is god like. You can escape whole areas and regain your xp without using a shard. It also allows to completely leave rooms without them knowing you passed them. Not to mention a strike does insane damage. Only con is that if they see you before you enter it then can still agro you. It does kinda work on bosses if you hit before in range so they walk into it. Stab and Shift are probably game changers imo.

Looking forward to NG+ for an upgrade on prayer with the red verion regening health and rage.
