Is there a way to disable screen shake?
I just picked this game during a sale and I was wondering if there was a way to disable the shaky camera effect. I find it incredibly distracting most of the time, and in the worst cases, the excessive bobbing renders the game completely unplayable after a few minutes. I honestly think it's overall quite detrimental to the experience.

I've tried looking online but I haven't found a solution, so if someone could please let me know if there's a patch/mod or something that I can use to disable the screen shake, I'd appreciate it greatly.

sadly there is not an option for removing it.

That's a real shame. I like the game, but this excessive screen shaking is really killing it for me. I honestly can't understand why anyone would think this would be a good feature to implement into the game. In most games I've seen featuring this there's at the very least an option to disable it...

I know man, its absolutely horrible. I picked up the game a couple days ago and it blew my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind. Its not even a proper camera shake, its like the screen is just wobbling around! After a roll, simply walking around, i cant even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tell its just so random.
I searched desperately for a fix, couldnt find it ! If you do, please post here :)

If it's really implemented into the game, I think it never happened to me... or it never bothered me... or I got used to it...
Do you know if there's a video anywhere showing this screen shaking?

I've made a small video to illustrate the problem. Resolution is very low to keep the file size low, but you'll see what I mean if you watch it on fullscreen.

The shaking is particularly noticeable while performing backstabs but you can see the bobbing even while running around, or even swinging your weapon. I've played many thrid person RPGs like this, and I can't say I remember any of them having that sort of random camera shake. It's the first time I feel nauseated after a few minutes of playing with one.

OK... now I know what you're talking about. It never bothered me.
Maybe it's trying to simulating the effect of carrying weight. Does it happen if you use a lighter gear?

Nope, it has nothing to do with the weight of your gear. It will happen even if ou're wearing light armor. It wouldn't be a very compelling way to convey the sense of weight if it were the case (which already happens very effectively with the reduced speed you're penalized with in as a tradeoff for the extra protection from heavy armor), but I thought it would've been a really funny and silly excuse to do such a thing lol.

Im having the same problem. The screen shake when killing an enemy is giving me crazy motion sickness which i havnt had before playing other games.

I know this is an old thread, but I've got the same issue.

I mean, I've got this game on XBox as well, and loved it so much that I bought it on steam, and I'm certain that this screen shake isn't nearly as bad on the XBox version. Which means it's something PC side. I'm literally glitching through walls when backstabbing an enemy near a wall because of this screen shake or Losing my vision entirely as the screen tilts 45 degree simply because I ran or swung my weapon.

So if you guys found a solution, please post it.

I have not bought yet, but this short video says there is an option to turn shake off (can anyone confirm that it works for you?): https://youtu.be/gaR7N4fljkg

oops - that may not be the 2014 version, lol

Yeah, that's for the new version. The fact they use the same exact name really doesn't help. xD
There should be a way to reduce the screen shake. Its giving me simulation sickness :(
