NO ONE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ liked the MJ sections if the first game.
But sure, add them AGAIN into the sequel.

Because players will LOVE them this time.

Modern devs are incapable of learning a damn thing yet wonder why their games sell poorly and get lower reviews.

I thought they were fine. Honestly, it just sounds like you hate women.
You might want to reflect on that.

Also, Spider-Man 2 got better reviews than the first game when it landed on PS5, and sold better, too.

Sold better in short term, but worse overall.
Yes Spider-Man 2 sold better in the first 72 hours, because all who loved the first game think the second will be as good as the first, but after people find out that the story telling and character depiction is much worse it slows down.
Overall Spider-Man 2 have sold ~half of the first game.

And it's not about MJ is a woman it is a super hero action game and forced sneak parts are not very fun. And she is way overpowered Spider-Man is a 10T Superhero and needs multiple hits to K.O. enemies, even with electric charged punches, but she can just down them?

And better reviews, yeah from critics, but we see very often that what game journos like is not necessary what the majority of players like.
You have a lot nostagica bait in Spider-Man 2 but there are some people who know about story telling who dissect the story and show all the flaws of the second game and in comparison the strength of the first games writing and story telling and it is a lot.

We also know SBI worked on it and they are extreme bad writers, but they are connectors to fundings, so they force their bad writing in the game cause if the studio want the fundings, want the tax breaks they are forced to worke with SBI and they had to implement their BS writing. Step by step we found out how they work and they are more evil than we all thought.
She is OP than peter, miles and venom combined!

Enjoyed them in the first. They were some nice story / character development as well.

I didn't mind them, they weren't my favorite things but they didn't offend me either. Mostly just speedran through them because I wanted to get back to the fast-paced spider fighting.

The only one that actually irked me was when right at the end, where you have Peter running from Venom in a reversal of the usual chase minigame and you have Miles taking on hordes of enemies...and you don't get to experience either of them, you have to play as MJ. That one actually annoyed me a bit. I wanted to feel like prey for once instead of always being the hunter, or just have a good beat-em-up arena fight against endless waves of the first enemy type in the game to actually challenge me. Even if they had just quickly swapped between all three I would have been happier there.

The first game's MJ sections were fine but they felt like a missed opportunity to me, in that having to engage with enemies without powers could have been made into a tough stealth challenge. The trouble with that is that even players who pride themselves on their gameplay skills — maybe even particularly those players — hate being humbled by tough stealth gameplay.

This game's sections are a lot better in that you at least have to employ more strategy, and in the zoo there's more choice about where you go. I also liked the way all the characters feel like they're working together as a team.

Anyway, in SM3 you're getting Silk.

I've got many problems with MJ's character in itself, but I thought the stealth sections were alright as AAA stealth goes. My biggest issue isn't how they're done, it's how they come about in the story.
i think they’re fun and funny because in terms of powerscaling MJ is literally god due to the plot armor/strength she’s given in these segments

Yes, tazing someone incapacitates them faster than punching them. This is especially true when you hold back your punches, like both spider-men.
Yes, using the symbiotes one weakness neutralizes the symbiotes faster than punching them.

This is basic knowledge. The fact people cant make these little brain connections actually astounds me.

You could make the argument that alot of miles' powers should do the same thing, but this is SPIDER-MAN being underpowered, not MJ being overpowered.

TBH, it was the forced stealth, nothing to do with her being a woman. The suitless Miles section in the first game was also a low point. It's not like 'OMG WORST THING EVARRR!!11!!' or anything, but it's ...not fun. Storyline-wise, I thought she was fine but anytime I replay Spidey, those are the sections I least look forward to.
Honestly they are a lot better than the first game first game mj missions I would understand but in this game I found them quite fun sure I perfer playing Peter or miles but it wasn’t a bore to play as mj here and there

Beyond the argument that this or that character is overpowered or weak, there's also the problem that if her gun is *that* effective, then surely it could be adapted to make a sort of knuckle duster that downs people in one hit.

People complained about the tank battles in Arkham Knight lmao

imagine if you had entire missions where you had to play has Barbara Gordorn sneaking around crawling on the floor lmao

Those MJ mission and miles Missions were horrible in the first game

the spider bot sections are horrible

the puzzles are horrible, none of this crap is fun, and they doubled down on in this game

pure insanity
