Game Update 0.12 : Enemies and fixes

Hello everyone ! We're beginning the week with an update to the game with the latest version of Seth, showcased two days ago at IndieGameLyon #5 !

We're so happy that we got the chance to show the game to you all, and all your kind words of encouragement are filling us with even more determination to improve this demo further !

And now, let's go through the patch notes !

Patch Notes for Patch 0.12

✴️Changes alongside this symbol means that they were made due to your feedback ! Thank you for helping us making Seth a better game !

Gameplay :

✴️The Death Blow prompt should now appear only when in range and when the correct conditions are met :
Moving your camera and firing/reloading should now give a slight sway to your weapon. The sway is only visual, and doesn't impact accuracy
Walking, jumping and landing animations have been slightly improved.
The Bow of Neith now has a slight aim down the sight when focusing with right click
✴️Added a light CoyoteTime, to make it a bit easier to jump above gaps !
✴️Spells should now behave a bit better for ease of targetting

Enemies :

New enemy : Blast Wing !
- Replaces the exploding skull, should be much easier to hear but also a bit deadlier !
- Still explodes on death !
The moving corpses now have a new model, to better suit the lore and be easier to see
- Animations are still placeholder

Environment and Art :

A broken staircase was added to the first map of the game, in preparations for future animations and events. Textures are still WIP
The visuals and colors of Ra's spell were changed to better match his color set
Began the work on Lighting in most maps, this should help improve performances
Enemies should now be a bit easier to see from afar

Audio :

Footsteps have been reworked, and their sound now matches a bit more the final look of Seth. They also changes depending on the surface you walk on
Added a bit of voice to jumps
✴️The firing sound of weapons will now change when going under 50% ammo, to make it easier to hear when a reload is near

Some Demo Feedback

First, I want to say that I actually had quite a good time with it. Definitely has both positives and negatives that I want to bring up. But, this was a good first impression to a game that I hadn't heard of before the FPS Fest. For the record, Action Roguelikes and FPS games are my two favorite genres. I do love it when they come together. As for thoughts: 1.) Obviously, you can tell this is way way early. A lot of the work in progress stuff is almost distracting, as entire monster skins and levels have ...

Game Update 0.11 : Finishers, Shields and more

Hello everyone ! Today marks the first update to the game and we hope you'll have fun with it while we prepare the next one !

We wanted to take a brief moment to say a huge thank you to everyone that tried the game or sent us words of encouragement, this means the world to us and we're absolutely thrilled to see the positive feedbacks that you've made so far !

And now, let's dive straight into the patch notes !

Patch Notes for Patch 0.11

Gameplay :

Player movespeed increased by 10%
Added a new gameplay mechanic, Death Blow :
- When an enemy reaches a certain HP threshold, it will become vulnerable to a Death Blow for a few seconds.
- Killing this enemy with a melee attack will now reward a sizeable shield bonus.
Melee hits now no longer give extra shield as baseline
- Developper comment : Getting shield with melee hits was hard to explain and even harder to properly display. This mechanic has been reworked into the Death Blow, and Melee will be further adjusted in the upcoming patches to compensate for the loss of shields, as well as making melee gameplay more fun.
Damage from Melee has been increased from 55 to 70
- Developper comment : This temporary increase to damage is there to keep Melee as a viable option while we rework the current melee upgrades and powers into something more fun to play with.
The following changes have been made to the Pillar of Ptah :
- Damage of primary fire has been reduced from 120 to 75 (90 to 50 when not hitting target directly)
- Ammunition has been increased from 1 to 2
Bow of Neith max ammunition has been increased from 6 to 7

Ennemies

HP of Apophis' Heralds has been reduced from 800 to 500
The projectiles of Priests and Embalmers are now purple for consistency and clarity
It is now possible to kill Medsourê in the training grounds. But will you truly kill such a ray of sunshine ?

Environment and Art

The disposition of some maps has been adjusted
Some visual elements have been adjusted in various maps

User Interface

The appearance of some UI elements have been modified

Music and Sounds

A new music plays in the Hub
Some map objects now emit sounds

Finally an new Egyptian sci-fi game!!! hope it comes out soon, the moment i started the demo game i was like WOW!!!
