Repair Tool not fixing wiring panel next to broken door.

Im trying to use the repair tool to fix the door next to a wreck next to the Aurora but it will not fix it. Im in stable, the tool has a fresh battery. I previously used it to fix the life pod so it was working once.

A bit of a necro, but I just restarted playing after the release and I am having the same problem. Are you referring to the wreck just north of the engines of the Aurora? That's where I'm getting the glitch.

This is a door on the Aurora? Does it say to repair the panel or cut the door open with a laser cutter?

Not on the Aurora, on the wreckage just to the north of the engines of the Aurora. It does say to repair the door, it simply refuses to actually repair.

That if I recall if the one I was refering too. A game close and starting it up again fixed it for me previously. But clearly there is still an issue if it wasnt solved by now.

Its right near the engine of the Aurora on the port side aft.

Tried the game close and reopen and tried spamming repair while trying all different angles, nothing.

I agree, found this too today and cannot repair..

I ran into this problem several days ago, was waiting for updates in the experimental branch to fix it but then decided to try starting a new game and didn't have the problem.

The fix for it in my saved game was to delete the cell cache files. After doing that and loading that save I swam over to that wreck and was able to fix the panel and get inside.

In experimental if you get over there quickly after you start a new game the repair tool can work and you can get in, but if you wait a while it stops working. I rarely get a repair tool soon enough to get into that wreck.

Bit of a necro, again... But I'm in the aurora and the door into the prawn bay is doing this. I've reloaded, restarted, and "rebuild all"ed and none has worked. I'm about to go the other way to get in, but is there any fix for this for future reference? Not the first time I've had it happen to this (and only this) door...

I really don't want to have to start all over again, I'm pretty far in-game and cannot repair the wiring on the wreck near the aurora... any news of a fix for this yet that doesn't involve losing your game?

"warpforward 5" and then do what you gotta do, then save and reload. only thing ive found myself... that door is done for this playthrough afaik

Yeah, had the same issue with that dead door. I found another in one of the larger wrecks, too.

Same door as OP; same glitch. Closing and reopening the game didn't work.

MartyS says to delete cell cached files. I know what a cached file on an Internet browser is, but what's a cell cached file? And what other consequences are there for deleting it?
