Up for debate its more so tailored towards exploration than your typical survival game, its filled with bugs that are a fault with the engine more so than the game, and the most challenging enemy in the game is purely because its designed to annoy you than a threat. I would argue this game is more so fun to watch than play or play with someone watching. Doesn't help to get to the meat of this game you have to do a lot of grinding just to get to the exploration. Its like fire watch honestly, is it a game you'll endlessly replay? No its an exploration game, you go in solve the mystery and get out. Its a game that had potential but the developers were quick to switch to a new project, I have hope for Subnautica 2 mostly because its under a different team.

That was the worst review of Subnautica I have ever seen.
The game is rated overwhelmingly positive. I personally have played it over a dozen times and have over 1500 hours of play time.
Its a classic in the genre.
This video brought my attention to Subnautica years ago: https://youtu.be/oVDteMZpBkc?t=453
yeah, it's definitely worth playing. that guy has no idea what he's talking about lol its one of the most popular open-world survivals. plenty of replayability especially with mods.

Yes it is, games have improved a lot since you were assassinated in 1901.

Plays wonderfully on my win 11 machine, and they brought some improvements from Below Zero over to here. Manual saves are a thing now, and the air bladder (You TOTALLY want this, it automatically surfaces you without having to inflate it first, and it has a 2nd-ary feature of giving you a bit of O2, but you will have to surface to reinflate it. Blowing the bubbles out in the old way use to make my PC shutdown, thank you PC shop guy for LISTENING to me and making me a reasonably priced system that will play my games and quit giving me a bunch of bs.

It's the only survival crafting game that is actually good.

Why does anyone bother responding to such a stupid question legitimately? Over 250,000 reviews with 97% Positive. All those reviews and that high of a rating and doofuses like this still go "Hmm I should ask in the forum if it's good"
Why? To get a written response about how the game is? You know that's exactly what a REVIEW is right?

This isn't a EA title with less than 50 reviews, it's a really pointless question from someone who likely wouldn't be able to appreciate the game.

So to OP: No, you wouldn't like the game. It's too complex and wonderful for you to appreciate so you should stick with the most basic games you find on Roblox or something.
Here's the short answer:
It depends. But usually yes.
Just DO NOT get your vehicles stuck in/on the ground. It's extremely hard to get them out again afterward.

Out of more than 279,000 reviews on Steam, it is sitting at 97% positive. The game is great, but you have to be willing to explore and figure things out, unless you just look up a guide to walk you through. There is no hand holding through much of the game, but the immersion is fantastic.

Planet crafter is an interesting ALMOST there concept, I do like Sub better. I have them but haven't tried the 2 Forest games or The Long Dark yet. Raft is also interesting, I'm sure you folks have others.
That depends. Do you enjoy immense amounts of stress, uncertainty, and hostility?

If so, I recommend going outside. However, Subnautica is a sufficient approximation, if that option is unavailable to you, reliant though it is on an unrealistic sense of purpose.
