Maybe some form of sacrifice too, where if you wear a backpack it means you cant carry an oxygen tank. Making you have to compromise and decide which is more important, oxygen or stuff!
however if there is a speed penalty it would be nice if it only applied incrementally as you fill it up with more and more weight.
Same for the seamoth (with the right upgrades) and the prawn.
You can find bags on the aurora. A trick to using them is;
Fill it full of "stuff". Pick it up with the propulsion cannon. Click the mouse button that doesn't shoot it into the deep blue so it goes into your inventory. You can now carry 3x3 extra stuff in the 2x2 bag.
