How Often Does The Reaper Leviathan Spawn?

I was wondering... How Often Does The Reaper Leviathan Spawn??? Also Where Is The Moonpool Fragment Located???

There will always be at least one, likely two, around the Aurora. One sometimes spawns further away, to the Northwest, but I think there are only two on-map at any time.

Don't forget the ones over in the Dunes biome. There are at least three to four there, so if you include those by the Aurora (which sometimes spawns three), you have at least six to seven on the map.

Phaota nailed it right on the head, but for the moonpool fragment, it's in the Grand Reef biome, under the surface island. The surface island is due south-west of the end of the Aurora, and if you don't have a compass in game that means it's due the opposite way the Aurora is facing, just make sure your behind the end blasters of the ship. :D

I've only seen one at at time and it always kills me. Quite frankly, all this monster does is put an end to my game play session. When it happens, its an invitation go play somehting else until I'm in the mood to start over. Don't realy understand what they where thinking when they added it.

Maybe they were thinking that since the Cyclops can't be damaged by the reaper, players would use that?

Had a good fright a few hours ago while in a playtest session with the other PTers. While going behind the Aurora, and just about to head down into the trench there, a Reaper spawned to my left. I was like OH CRAP! and immediately headed to the right in order to get away. Then another spawned directly in front of me. I was dead and respawned back in my base real fast. LOL

I got in a fight with them yesterday (just bought the game) first one raped me (OS) and made me freak out, volume was WAAAY TOO loud when he appeared but I made better fins and tried to take one with my knife, hit him till I broke my knife and he raped me again...
finally found a way to avoid them and got into the aurora but except that battery improvement for the subs I couldn't find anything worth dieing for.

Wow, so everyone first thought is to kill the creature?

Met my first RL out at sand dunes while swimming. Admired the beauty from safe distances.
I am so worried that creatures I killed won't get respawn again, so I never kill anything. Its not that hard to avoid contact with predators.

My first thought was WTF, near the Aurora visibility is pretty bad... so when you hear something roar and you then see a huge mouth in front of you and your dead... didn't make me happy
so my second thought was KILL IT ! and I will, after work that thing will float !

I havent died to the reaper before [Except for the time it killed me while I was in cylops]. Though I had lost a seamoth to it once [Apparently you can get out while its grabbing it]

First time I saw a reaper, *nope!*

Love the hostile creatures in Subnautica. Its a big breath of fresh air compared to games where you are king of the foodchain.*no sacarsam intended*

I picked up the moonpool in the wreck at the mountain island, 330 meter deep just circle the island at that depth eventually you will find it. Bring a Cyclops tho if you know what I mean.
