When see a game and I will definitely play this game because I like it I buy it. Sale or no sale, doesn't matter.
What are you waiting for, permission?
Doesn't really cover why the older game has the same base price, in spite of being 3 years old now (older really with EA). And even on sale is more exspensive the something like Skyrim with all its DLC (which alone probably is roughly the same length as this story)
as for why I didn't get it when it was like 7.50 back then I was jobless and couldn't afford it. Since I've been waiting for that sale again, yet it just keeps going up. Never knew games appriaciated in value so much.
They upgraded thd engine and broke a lot of things.
They ignored that for a little bit
Decided they could tap into the Nintendo Switch market.
Started to fix thr PC version to be portable to the switch.
All that dev time needs paying for so new customers become cash cows for a still broken game on PC and a soon to be released Switch version.
Still waiting for this bug/performance fix PC update....
oil price is a cash grab, pharma products are a cash grab, etc etc... - but honestly - Subnautica? i wish it were like that *g* because that would mean this world has no big problems anymore :p
So you're saying its more expensive and now has more issues? Maybe I will continue to hold off then.
Yup.
You can join the experimental branch and treat Subnautica like its back in Early Access for those that missed it the first time.
If the devs at least justified the increase by saying they plan to eventually add something new to the base Subnautica game (like some content from BZ), then it would at least be defensible. But as it is now, I don't think I've ever seen a dev do what UWE did with the pricing.
The current sale price is only $2 higher. Not really breaking the bank.
