How to charge Seaglide from 0% to 100% - no more batteries needed!
With Swim Charge Fins on you can actually charge it all the way back up to 100% by going to a deep area and holding "C" to swim straight down and then "Spacebar" to swim straight up. With that you'll not engage the Seaglide and thus you can charge it all the way up again so just keeping going up and down till 100%.

Using "WASD" will cause the Seaglide to engage and thus drain the power faster than Swim Charge Fins work so you can't get to full charge that way...

I'm sure some of you already know this but I've played for over 30 hours and just now figured out that using "C" and "Spacebar" will let you fully charge it.

i hate glitchers--

Wow, this is super useful. Thanks! I hope they keep this in the game, or some way to turn off held objects because it doesn't make sense that you ALWAYS keep it on and never can turn it off, in the case of the charge fins.

it's not a glitch, it's a feature!

makes sense, since it DOES have an on/off button in its model. maybe in the future.

I doubt that this "feature" was intended, especially when you think of the controller support later on.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that the devs actually WANT the Swim Charge Fins to work with the Seaglide.

There, found it: https://steamcommunity.com/app/264710/discussions/0/598198356173816281/

Second post down is from a Dev! Booya!

Then the Devs are incompetent? As if that wouldn't be game breaking. We talk so much about game breaking topics. If they tolerate this then they can just make the sea glide working autonom without the need of any Batteries or recharges.

It does take some time to fully charge though. Going down to 80 meters and then going back up to the surface gets you about 4%.

I don't even use the charge fins or the seaglide - with the speed fins (or whatever they're called) you go almost as fast as with the seaglide. I don't think it's game breaking at all to have the charge fins charge up the seaglide.

uhmn, you don't even need to do that, just hold it out and swim, it'll go on and off rapidly and you won't be able to use flashlight very well but the charge fins produce just enough power that you can use the sea-glide infinitely until you stop moving, I used it alot when making a hole down to the inactive lava zone

unless they changed it

Well thats just the thing, buddy - its annoying when it drops to 0-1% because it makes a bunch of noise and you can't use the flash light...

what's the problem with that? is that really such an issue you have to spend 10 minutes swimming up and down instead?
Honorable_D Mar 29, 2016 @ 8:46am
To some people, yeah, it would be a big enough problem.

Calm down, bro.

im fine, thank you but even irl i find the slightest sounds super annoying, and the seaglide doesnt bother me at all
Honorable_D Mar 29, 2016 @ 9:04am
Oh is that so? So it just magically doesn't bother you, the constant clicking and whirring? The fact that the light flashes on and off?

I'm fully aware that using a battery will insantly solve this problem but for those that hate farming for copper and dislike the flashing light and noises when it drops to zero charge, this little trick is there for those that want to use it.
