Table Coral dropping only 1 sample
So,title pretty much explains my problem.Started a new game with the latest stable build and this bug keeps bugging me and I really don't want the safe shallows to get more and more deserted thanks to my Table Coral needs.
Any solution?Restarting doesn't work.Maybe someone had the same problem and can share a possible solution with me(except for using console to get whatever I need in terms of Table Coral)?

From what I have gathered from post-reading, if you take coral from the same tube, it eventually "depletes" and one person said it even dissapeared. Wish I'd knonw that before building a base on this nice platue, only to find a coral tube I had to build around, oh, well, we'll all be starting our games over eventually so another lesson learned.

Table Coral not Coral.Table Coral are the disk-like-shaped corals growing out of the walls usually found in the safe shallows.2 of those corals are needed to produce 1 computer chip.

Oh sorry, in regards to thos, I take 1 maybe two and leaves others in same area, so it can regrow. mushrooms come back faster but I follow the same procedure for anything I harvest.

I don't think those regrow or have I missed some update news stating that?
BlackWater May 23, 2016 @ 11:53am
It makes sense, for whatever reason, game time on this planet is fast, that moon flies across the sky faster than a concord, whether this is intentional or not, I don't know. Its only fitting that if Subnautica dude's tummy is grumbling and needed fed again more quickly than my 83 Chevy Suburban needed refueling, its only fair that stuff regrows back quickly as well.

So,have you actually confirmed information that Table Coral regrows or are you just guessing?
BlackWater May 23, 2016 @ 12:08pm
Unless its a fluke, I did have some regrow, and I know because the area in question was right under the escape pod, so later, I saw a peice back from where i previously harvested. It was at least 2 full game days later though.

Guess I need to test that out as well.Wouldn't care then if it does regrow and it would actually make me walk a bit to gather a good bunch opposed to before where I did not even had to take an air tank to fill my inventory after leaving the base I had in safe shallow, even if it is ever so slowly growing.Though I do wonder if it is required to leave one there for it to regrow.I doubt it thanks to the redish look of the wall in the safe shallows where the table coral grows indicating that there always will be coral residue.
Too bad for the normal corals though that they are not yet replenishable.Thank god though that everything this is being used for can be gained through farmable ways.

I don't know if it's regrowing or not, but I have noticed that table coral only drops 1 big sample now, rather than cracking into 5 bits. Not a massive deal because there's plenty of it about, but I'd probably like it a bit better if it dropped 5 again, and I wouldn't have to destroy the environment so much.

I have seen table coral regrow near my base. I stripped a pillar bare, just outside my entry hatch, and a few days later there were some more table corals on the pillar. Each harvested table coral only drops one piece, for me.

I am pretty sure they changed table coral to only drop one piece at the "machine" update.
Khanwolf May 23, 2016 @ 5:04pm
yes, the drop rate was changed to a single coral in the machinery update.

someone tell us how we can plant them... some Dev would be cool... because there is no way to cultivate Corals yet.

There is enough Glass in my Aquarium to cultivate Table Corals on the Windows, Devs!
IFIYGD May 23, 2016 @ 5:18pm
Yeah, Laser. I'd like to be able to plant them too, either on an upright external grow pot or in my aquarium somehow. I don;t know if they respawn on thier own, haven't really paid much attention to it in game. But, perhaps they do, because it seems like I never run out of corals to get samples from.
BlackWater May 23, 2016 @ 5:35pm
If we can cultivate the air bubbles coral or whatever that things called, why not.

Nobody was really interested when I suggested growing coral almost 2 months ago.
