Respawning Scrap metal around the Aurora?
So I finished collecting all the scrap metal around the shallows near the Aurora. I stowed it all in 44 installed storage lockers in the Cyclops:

I could swear at times some metal was respawning. Is this a thing?

Good! I figured that the ocean current was just carrying parts of the wreckage around the sea floor there.

I would not mind a replenishing supply of scrap around the Aurora. Personally, I find that it makes sense. The Aurora is constantly deteriorating and would take ages to fully be dismantled given her size.

I'm not sure if quartz regenerates. With it being such a huge necessity, like titanium, I wouldn't mind that feature either; although, slower as if it is taking time to form.

I try and not clear out any one area, a piece of quartz here a peice from there, same with creepvine clusters and fish.
