Plant Arranging
Not sure how many of you know this but you can arrange your plants in the growbeds.

First, have all the seeds you want to plant.

Second, fill a growbed, preferably with at least one of the types of seeds you want in there.

Third, let em' grow to full maturity

Fourth and final step, cut out one (1 only)! and plant another seed of your choice. It can only grow in the empty spot. Repeat the last step until you have all your plants where you want them in your growbed.

Hope this helped people who still think that the plants are fixed in that dumb pattern that shifts everything together.

Happy Gardening!!!

Don't use acid mushrooms, they have a habit of exploding each other. Pygmy fans work best, you can find them in the over grown caves.

yup they explode each time now, previous update they used not too.

It's a good idea - and we can just plant and then pick fully-grown acid mushrooms, much easier than slashing anything else several times.

Lol I nearly died when I slashed 1 acid for the seeds in a growbed full of them. Took out my knife, slashed one and......BOOM! Twas funny as hell.

just plant the whole planter with plants that you can pick up again like a marble melon or acid shrooms

Is there a way how to make a tree grow in the middle?
I tried to fill it with melons, let them grow, then pick the four in the middle and plant the tree, but that for some reason doesn't work.

I don't think so :( I tried doing a checkered pattern with the pink and purple mushrooms but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get them stay unsorted. I'm guessing they use the same script that organizes the inventory stuff as well.

Don't deep necro like this. After reviewing the history of discussion, if you have a question about something that has not been discussed in 6 years, create a new thread to frame your new question.

At this age, some of the info in the thread can easily be OBE.

You can't do much with odd patterns in a growbed. They will always end up sorted.

You can do some things like plant a Creepvine, so it occupies one corner, then fill all but the last 4 spaces with mushrooms, etc, then plant another Creepvine, which will go in the remaining 4 spaces, in the opposite corner. Then as you harvest mushrooms (or whatever), you can fill their spaces with other plants. The 2 Creepvines, since they are already established and recorded in a certain set of slots, will not move.
