If you're talking about the barnacle looking stuff on the rocks, I think that's just a texture? Probably no way to remove it beyond deleting whatever file holds that texture. Which might break the game and look really ugly in random ways :\

No. The holes are part of the Unity 3D textures the devs have to work with, and are fixed in the terrain. And often digging sand or using the Terraformer will make them go away in one spot or reveal more in one spot.

Trypophobia is not yet recognized as a true phobia, but that doesn't mean it is not real and does not affect somepeople. If you are one of them mate...this is probably not the game for you. Or it could be a way to try to work through your dislike of irregular groupings of holes/spheres.

But sorry, no way to remove them from the game completely.

I like this game a lot but I have a phobia of the deep dark ocean, which this game triggers (not as much as it would in RL no doubt) but I wouldn't ask for it to be taken away. So I bought this not only because it's a great game, but to try and get over it somewhat.

Anyway no, there are no mods that I know of anyway. The devs would have to cater to this phobia, if indeed it is a true phobia* or ask a modder to do it. Or wait for a modder to do it.

*Phobia or not, things like this might just be an example of people projecting their fears onto others. As in this scares me so it should you. My sisters kid was never afraid of bees or wasps, but one day in the garden one flew up to my sister and she freaked the hell out, screaming and everything. My niece saw this and from that moment she was afraid of them, because she thought she should be, due to my sisters reaction.

Unfortunately, those are intentional textures. Symmetry is fictional in the Natural world, and such textures are very real in ocean topography. The best thing I could suggest is to switch to Direct X 9 when playing to reduce the texture quality (an improve stability and rameraate, if you're on a dinosaur latp like I am). To set it to boot using DX9, right click on the name in your library, click properties, then the "set launch options button" and type or paste the following command: -force-d3d9
