Drooping Stinger of DOOOOOOOOM
Are they the most deadly thing in the game? I don't think I've had anything instant kill me. Though I haven't had anything bigger than a sand shark bite me. So maybe the larger carnivors can one hit.

Still, the dead within 2 seconds of being stung on these things is a bit frustrating.

Depending on how long you stay in one I guess, you should be able to survive a slight touch, the most deadly thing is the reaper leviathan in the current update.

Ha, just did a test. Touched one and immediately backed out. My health drained in about 2 seconds. So the Reaper might kill you slightly faster, but the Stinger makes you just as dead.

I just tested it and it only took 39% hp (brought me to 61%) then it seems that the HP auto regenerates back to where it was when you first touched it. However if there's more than 1 in a place and you touch him too then it's instant death. As for the reaper, he chases you, stingers are avoidable by careful movement. And if you're using a seamoth, it will start damaging the seamoth first.

FWIW, you can shift them with the Propulsion Cannon...

speaking of dropping stinger not sure if: with drone litlle collider issue, or if stalker aiming trough seabed floor when cave network not far from seabed main floor.

but there might be a little thingy like that as well. One or the others not sure ... just a bet in the half void in the minor series thingies ...

Ouch! Hardcore mode?

They still need a lot of work. There some minor, but visible graphicaly bugs, there's the improbable poisoning issue with the Seamoth (reported on Trello many months back) and the hard-as-a-rock problem when hitting them (again, Trello reported a good while ago).

They're just plain broken. The continuing damage is supposed to stop after 60%, but it always kills me at 100%, every time, the damage never stops. If they keep going the way they're going, next update I expect the thing's hitbox to be expanded to about 20 meters wide...

This, this thing right here is why i'd like to assign med-kits to a hotbar slot, or at least have a hotkey for them.

That's a great idea! I hope they implement it.

I'm not sure if this is the same bug, but I just hit one with my seamoth (with reinforced hull) and it instantly exploded, killing me at the same time (in hardcore mode XD ).
The reaper is less dangerous than those things.
