A shame - But if something really doesn't work 'cause of technical limitations, then you've gotta cut it.
oh so the ground will solid to save on game space, so it will run smoother in the future, i can see how that would be good, shame really, i enjoyed making my own islands.
They devs have also openly stated that they would have to cut Terraforming even if this was a PC exclusive. So "Because consoles" is only an additional reason tacked onto the end, rather than any signifigant reason.
only way i got out of that mess was using the terraformer
if not for that i would need to load a save
cyclops really does not fit the overall map size
if the map was x100 times bigger it would be amazing like riding a horse on witcher 3 across the map for hours
imagine exploring a wide ocean with a sub instead of a shallow sea and a void after 5 minutes to any direction
and it seems like the exosuit is not far way from being usable in the stable version, ive just scanned three suit fragments in the PRAWN room in the Aurora.
the more you explore the bigger your save becomes (I have 3 now each 1Gb+)
slower loading times
lower framerate
the more you play the worse performance becomes because everytime it's more complicated (even if you take care crashfish still explode all the time and deform terrain)
if you drop something = loss of fps
etc..etc..
I loved the idea but I'm ok to sacrifice it for the benefit of the developers and the game, subnautica deserves more publicity than no man sky yet is far from it
also if it can bring the game back to the 120-140fps I experience in one of the patches I'm all for it (now i'm back to 50 which isnt bad but 120fps subnautica+ULMB monitor was real-life good looking)
Agree i like the thingi you can do great stuff with it but for better Performance i take it...
I mean you can still do great stuff but build a base on the island well thats difficult XD
True... but you can still "cheat"... you just get the repulsor gun and carry an oxygen-generating coral into the cave system with you. Haul it around as you explore. No threat of running out of air.
