Is Propulsion Cannon really the only way into Aurora with 38227?
I've read many a post around the webverse and it seems there were ways into the Aurora without having to rely on the Propulsion Cannon (without resorting to cheats). Even after the removal of the side entrance. These methods mostly involved jumping around a bunch, and some luck. But I'm not seeing this with build 38227.

At the lower door I can get onto the table-ramp but can't then get through the opening. The upper door is blocked with steel girders and a fire (that won't go out with the fire extinguisher) blocks the way from dropping in behind the girders. And the Laser Cutter doesn't cut it (pun intended).

Anyone else with this build able to get into (and out) without the PC?

Yes. Propulsion Cannon really the only way into Aurora.
You can do a running parkour.

Yeah, I was trying the parkour route but haven't been successful. OK, thanks. Guess I'm off to find another PC frag.

Try the wreck due north of the lifepod near the underwater floating islands.

From that blocked door, you can find a ramp to the southeast. You'll likely recognise it from previous versions.

I like doing parkour on the Aurora, heh I even do PRAWN suit Parkour with the jump jets and grappling arm on the Precursor cannon in experimental, it's so fun to do. I love utilising everything to achieve what seems highly improbable to some people, I have climbed right to the top of the cannon without using the warp commands and it looks awesome at night when you see something special (Not spoiling a darn thing ;-) No way) same can be said to get to certain areas on the Aurora

you walk up ramp, you jump on box. thats it. why is this so hard for some peopel?.
Cougarific Sep 30, 2016 @ 7:13pm
Iraneth according to the Devs it was never intended that you be able to jump over those boxes - you're supposed to need the Prop Cannon to get in there - the ability to jump or climb over and drop down was a "bug" that has since been fixed.

You can still jump over the upper path.

unless it was changed in experimental which I know nothing about.

FWIW, got me curious so I just made a new game (and spawned myself a seamoth, and used nodamage for radiation). I was able to go in via the original entrance at the front - and re: parkour/etc, was able to jump on this one box on the ramp, and take a running leap onto the top of the big pile of boxes.

EdiT: Forgot to say - I'm using the latest build, in Exoerimental.

Getting the propulsion fragments are rather easy to find if you have the Seamoth. Dont even need any pressure compensators. The stasis rifle is found the same place.

Also you can use the upper path. Which gives some of the fragments

But for finding the fragments in a wreck alongside the stasis rifle. Go to these coordinates:
Wreck Floating isles (-87.2, -177.9, 824.8)
Scannables:
Static rifle
Propulsion gun

I'm going to post a screenshot because I think it's too hard to do in words.

Jump from here: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197966167540/screenshot/478895907429593040

If that's too hard, run through the fire (taking damage), then drop down from above.

that's pretty cool but erm, how did you get up there?

You can actually jump over the boxes. I did , no need for propulsion cannon :) take the left box and then run and jump over the ones on the right :)

What are you talking about? The propulsion canon is in the mushroom foresst. The stasis rifle is in the underwater islands, unless they've been moved in experimental.

And finding anything with the seamoth is unlikely until you build a moon pool and mod station so you can compensate for the drain. Otherwise most people aren't going to want to waste the power cells wandering around.

This.
Seems the easiest way for me too.
