Really makes no sense that you have to plop out—somethimes hundreds of feet/meters down into the abyss, to, say, drink your daily ration of water.
Well, it worked quite well in System Shock 2, so sure, why not?
That would be good. First you still got enough to read on your pda but later you got nothing to do again. You cant tell me people in the future dont play games anymore, specialy when you are traveling to a new galaxy

I like the idea of adding some minigames to the PDA as something to poke while you wait for oxygen to recharge, food to grow, water to filter, or for night to pass during the early stages of the game before you have a vehicle. But I think the devs have more important things to be working on, although we can hope. :)
Could be simple games along the lines of Commander Keen's "Paddle War", a sliding puzzle, snake, or a version of flappy bird - Or if the devs could be bothered, more complex games: Versions of Tetris, Breakout, Minesweeper or Asteroids (with the Aurora as your ship).
Subnautica is a game I like to sometimes chill in, and soak up its immersive atmosphere and soundscape. Just imagine having a real in-game excuse to do so: Sitting in a chair in an observatory in your base, playing a minigame on your PDA, while having a Subnautica biome of your choice as a backdrop, watching the wildlife do its thing - The PDA is transparent too. That'd be awesome. :)
