Subnatuica Having Trouble Starting
Hi There,
I just bought Subnautica and was really excited to play it, but when I clicked the button and a black screen came up and it started loading, it crashed for no reason. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks!

Let's start with you telling us about your system. Stuff like the GPU.

It is definitely not a problem with my system. I can play Battlefront 2 and Destiny 2 very well on it. And it is not slow in the least. I thought that it might be firewall, but I checked and it looked fine.

Humblebragging about your specs doesn't tell us anything.

Why does everyone have the same kind of argument ?

Believe me, I am not bragging in the slightest. I can admit and will admit that my computer is DEFINITELY not amazing in terms of gaming. It can just usually get the job done on kind of the minimum. Let me check my system specs and I will get right back to you

According to the litte sign next to his name, he owns the steam version.

I've looked around on google and there are a few reports (mid 2018) of Radeon and especially Ryzen 2200G/2400G owners about subnautica or unity game engine based games not starting in general.

Do you have the latest drivers from AMD for your integrated GPU? If not try to install the latest drivers that suppert your APU's integrated VEGA graphics.
Driver: https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-5-desktop-processors-radeon-vega-graphics/amd-ryzen-5-0

Apart from that someone recommended to use 17.7 drivers, but I'd only use them if nothing else helps. They are quite old and might introduce issues with newer games.

Same issue (always ran fine)

Tried

Upgraded drivers
+++AND+++ Gave access through my Security
+++AND+++ Deleted Batch files

(dont suppose it could be the downloaded multiplayer mod thats screwing it up?)

Ah yes. The drivers for that gpu were not updated until very recently and they did not work with Unity. The latest drivers do work with Unity, so get those.

Okay, I will download the Drivers and try again!

Figured it out needed a reinstall (forgot to copy my saves though). Lost all my sh** :(
