Where do you find Deep Shrooms in the Grand Reef?

I went in from the edge that borders with the Sparse Reef to avoid the Leviathans and looked around a bit, but couldn't find any. Are they locked to certain depths, or do they only appear in certain parts of the Reef? If so, what regions of it can they be found in?

It's easier to find them near the bloodroot, up on one of the floating island thingies. Just cut a couple with your knife, take them home with some bloodoil, and plant them in an outdoor planter.

Deep shrooms aren't in the grand reef, they're in
Blood Kelp Zone
Inactive Lava Zone
Inactive Lava Zone Corridor
Lost River
Tree Cove
Sea Treader's Path
Sea Treader's Tunnel Caves

The closest place to find them for me is to go to the western mushroom forest and go to its North end and turn left. There is a trench there that leads to all kinds of neat things.
