Subnautica nuclear reactor

I wanted to move the nuclear reactor to a different room, but had reactor rods inside. I tried to take the reator rods out, but it said only depleted reactor rods may be removed. If i deconstructed my nucear reactor, would it give me the reator rods or would they be gone forever?

Could you tell me something about nuclear reactor? Is there option to recharge reactor rod? Or i have to dump it and craft another one?

Im currenlty on solar and bio with large fish tank near reactor so i won't lost energy in days :)

My experience has been that if you deconstruct something that has items inside of it, you lose those items. For example, if you deconstruct a growbed then you will lose anything that was growing inside of it. Some objects, like lockers, may force you to empty them before deconstruction, but in cases where items can't be removed normally, I believe it allows you to deconstruct the object and destroys those items.

there are mods for that as others have pointed out, but you cannot recharge rods in vanilla. that'd make the nuke waste bin worthless ;-;

When you deconstruct the reactor the rods are lost.

Reactor rods are easy to make so make a locker and fill it with spare reactor rods.

You can't remove reactor rods from the nuclear reactor until they deplete.
And in the vanilla game, all you can do is trash them after.
