Bugged Terminal?

So I was doing a standard run through subnautica, and was going through wrecks looking for mod station fragments. I was at the big wreck in the grassy plateaus (near one of the lifepods), and noticed a passageway I hadn't seen before. From there, I blundered into one of the narrow vent passages, took several random turns (at this point I realized I was hopelessly lost and low on O2) and ended up in a fairly sized room. The first thing I noticed was a sealed door, and near it, a data terminal. I without really thinking about it, I clicked on the terminal, but instead of the "New blueprint aquired" voiceline, there was no audio (in terms of dialogue) but instead subtitles. Keep in mind this all happened within a couple seconds of one another, so I was pretty confused. I remember the subtitle box starting with "p rek" and then from there it looked like a toddler had mashed their face on a keyboard for 10 minutes.

At that point, I got pretty freaked out and quit the game to write this. It'd be nice to know if this was a sign of corruption, an intended terminal (although I found nothing on the wiki), or just a bug. Sorry I wimped out on screenshots

I think I know the one you mean. It's ment to represent data corruption.

Not all the computational systems, and their stored data, survived getting hit in the proverbial face by a giant laser beam.

It's not a bug (or your computer going wrong), it's a feature. And may well have been typed by some one headbutting their keyboard.

Well, it was in a part of a spaceship that got blown off in space, fell all the way through the atmosphere, crashed into the ocean, and sank 100 meters down to the sea floor.

It might be just a wee bit rattled.
