What kind of power? How far from the base is it?

the fabricator needs between 5-10 power per item crafted, make sure the power grid is connected to the same base the fabricator is located in, you can check this by looking the current power display at the top oif the screen.

Might be worth getting your habitat builder and making sure the fabricator is 100% complete (and not like 99%)

Thanks for input guys, will check and double check.

What power sources can I have besides the solar panel? I know of that biomass thing, put I dont seem to be able 2 manufacture it, even though I have the parts for it, does it require a specific room to be placed in?

It needs the big round room, called the "multipurpose room" (or MP for short). Keep looking and you'll find one to scan. If all else fails the radio will lead to one. Eventually.
The easiest place to find one is on the floating island to the south-east (more or less) from the safe shallows.

Bioreactor
Thermal plant
Nuclear reactor

Or just add more solar panels if your not getting enough power. But it just sounds odd if the lights are on in your base your fabricator should be good to go. You only really need minimal power to craft, if the power was so low the fabricator isn’t working then I’d think the base lights and oxygen production would be offline too.

If your power generation and power consumption cause your base power to hover in the single digits, some of the equipment in your base will shut down to compensate.

Thanks again, I mean the power in my base is on, even have a map room. And the sea moth docks in the moonpool and charges + it has oxygen. Sometimes theres only emergency power during the nighttime, but I will try and add some more solar panels and see if it works.

Will check out the island SE as well, thanks

Put a thermal plant up, during the night the power can't charge with solar panels only (no Light) so it drains.

Try deconstructing it and constructing it again. Maybe post a pic of where it is?
