I think that a lot of the praise it gets, is because it was such a successful EA game, in a sea of poo and falsehood.

And it's a really good game.

Minecraft has no Degasi, no Aurora, no Islands, no Lifepods, no Mushrooms, the graphics suck, it's not realistic, it has no Precursors, no air tanks, no Neptune Escape Rocket, no PDA, no Freedom mode, and no Builder Tool, Repair Tool, Stasis Rifle, Survival Knife, Seaglide, Laser Cutter, etc.

No one really cares about your opinion on the game since I can name over 20 games that can be said to be overhyped. But since I don't really mind an opinion provided it is actully sensable I will say I enjoy the game, it is not like minecraft and it has quite the story to it. It is vary intresting to explore the alien world and find new aquatic animals. Saying it is like minecraft is like saying minecraft is like Far Cry, you can't just say "It is like minecraft" simply because it has survival and building features in it. It is a good game and I suggest instead of trolling around on the forums like an idiot, go try the game and see for your self. On a further note I don't feel it was overhyped at all and I actually got into it because my cousin wanted me to try it. I never even heard of it before my cousin brought it up and wanted me to try it one day.

why do people keep comparing Subnauitca to minecraft, ive never played minecraft and even i know there is not one thing the same.
have even played Subnautica?, if so how many hours (or minutes) do you have? clearly not many if you doing the minecraft thread.
at least the devs didnt make any promises like most overhyped games recently.

I feel like anything that is Hyped at all is Overhyped. People's excitement is an emotional reaction which we all know lacks intelligence and good judgment.

It's like seeing a really hot person you're crushing on, you just turn into an idiot and think they're the greatest thing ever even though they have just as much wrong with them as everyone else...

So yea

It was a good game though for the price. I'd almost say it's one of the best games ever but it does have some major bugs still they haven't figured out how to fix. So I forgive that for the price... and it's awesomeness, it's basically half a game, but it's a really, really good half.

Lol, literally why would you build Subnautica in Minecraft? I mean, I can understand the artistry but it's so pointless.
