How do I get the Research Facility location (Spoilers!)?

So I've been pricked by the blood tester in the alien island facility, scanned the rifle and doom device on the way to the top, I have multiple purple tablets, an orange one, and some data cubes saved up. I believe I did all there was to do at the island alien facility. I've even gone through the teleporter. I did go around the underwater structures with long air/power lines anchoring them together, even one with a teleporter on top, but can't seem to do anything with them. I even scanned an alien air vent, which I read is needed as well.

I just had the alien weapon shoot down the Sunbeam, already explored the Aurora, but no narrative came up yet about where the DRF is located. After some research, I can't seem to figure out what I need to do to make this story progress.

Sure, I could find the DRF if I had to, but I'd prefer the story take me there naturally. Any help would be appreciated.

You should have gotten a message in your PDA under Codes and Clues/Alien Facilities Locations when you used the QEP terminal.

If you download the data from the alien computers, get all the PDA data, and actually read what they says, you will find them.
The at that point the game is done giving you exact locations.

Hint, go deeper.

Some people seem to miss it, but the game does at one point give you exact coordinates for the entrance to the end-game biomes. It's at Lifepod #2

Thanks all. Finding it is not the issue, I do see it as part of the "alien facility locations" entry, but I just figured there'd be more info than "depth 800 meters, by cave system with extensive fossil records."

The problem is I seem to have done things out of order, before actual game data entries (like going to the islands very early, before radio messages). I had the Aurora message and it was fully explored way before the Sunbeam story. Nothing seems to be happening in order of the wiki walkthrough. Just didn't want to miss anything.

Well, yes... if you follow the transmission as intended, the game is quite linear.

If you wander around doing whatever, then nothing makes sense anymore.
