Removing/disabling Mods
So after paying for many hours without mods, I broke my own rule an decided to try a few (like 50). I realized this added a lot of cool options and made much of the game more fun, but I want to take it back to vanilla or at least disable the mods. Any suggestions not involving reinstall?

From what I understand if you tell steam to Verify the game files it will take one look at all your mods and go "this isn't meant to be like this", assume it's all a bunch of errors and set it all to what it would have been (not counting saves) when you first downloaded it.

This is one of the reasons I understand they had the idea of making their workshop, so people could have mods and not wipe the whole lot of them like this.

If this isn't true, you likely won't have to wait long to find out. This forum is normally fairly active.

That is not true.
What a constructive comment. Care to explain further?

Just uninstall qmods. Poof - vanilla!

^This. Mods don't permanently alter your game files - they're altered by QMods every time you start the game. Removing QMods prevents that from happening.

you could also just rename the folder to ~Qmods, that way if ever want to play with mods again, simply rename it back to original name.

What is Vortex?

Latest general mod manager for all the mods (any game) on Nexus Mods. Read about it on Nexus Mods. Its only been in full release / active for about a month.

Note: Vortex does not replace QMods. It manages the adding of other mods to QMods. As I understand it, QMods is a mod, which provides a mod framework and library for mods specific to Subnautica.
help i don't know how to do it
