This is one of the reasons I understand they had the idea of making their workshop, so people could have mods and not wipe the whole lot of them like this.
If this isn't true, you likely won't have to wait long to find out. This forum is normally fairly active.
Note: Vortex does not replace QMods. It manages the adding of other mods to QMods. As I understand it, QMods is a mod, which provides a mod framework and library for mods specific to Subnautica.
