Food wise, I build an indoor growbed for infinite food & water in the cyclops.
If you're referring to the one where the huge skeleton is, you could try using the Blood Kelp entrance instead, the crabsquids are easily avoidable.
I just used smart silent running
I did try sticking to the sides, he just circles me and doesn't leave no matter how long I wait with my power off. He just stays next to me, and the second I turn my engine on even in silent mode he attacks me. If I try to go full speed ahead he constantly attacks and can take out my cyclops in less than 10 seconds.
If the yellow blip that in the ghost goes inside that bubble it attacks, otherwise it doesn't.
Stick to the walls, go slow for the least noise, hit silent running if it's to close or even turn off the engine if that's not enough. Move when it's turning to go away again.
Doing it this way may take longer but with it I have never lost a cyclops to any creature in this game.
Or for that matter. Use the sonar to line yourself up for a strait shot, hit the max speed and pop a decoy while turning on the shields when it sees you as you pass by.
overheating only occurs if you are in FULL SPEED for a certain period
yep, I swap it 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years ago...
