Ghost Leviathan In Lost River? How to get past with cyclops?
I've tried 4 times. I've BUILT 4 FREAKING CYCLOPSES AND AM ABOUT TO UNINSTALL THE GAME OVER THIS. Each time I try to get through the lost river, the ghost leviathan just swoops by and gets me stuck. If I try to go past him and move on, He'll break my cyclops completely, as has happened twice. Rushing doesn't work. If I try to be stealthy, even putting it in slow mode and silent mode he still detects me and destroys my cyclops. If I try to go inch by inch, as he can't detect you when all lights are off and engines are off, then he just camps me. He Puppy Guards me. He just circles around me, waiting for me to turn my engines on to kill me. So How the heck am I supposed to deal with him? I genuinely have no idea. I've tried everything I could think of plus everything I've seen online and in guides and stuff, and nothing works. HELP ME. I am literally going to uninstall the game.

Turn off all power until he stops camping you.... silent mode when he's not. Stick to the sides of the chamber rather than going through the middle.

I've handled it three ways so far. First is to just take my prawn through the LR and deeper, takes ages but its possible. Second is to get a stasis gun, freeze it, stab it and repeat until it dies. Third is to risk using the prawn to kill it. The only other way I know to get into the LR and not run into a ghost is to use the entrance in the blood kelp zone. I don't know if its possible to get a cyclopse through there though. Through stuborness and dumbluck I managed to get through the LR and beyond just using my Prawn. Get the heat recharge upgrades, fill the thing with food and water and you're set. I do not suggest it though.

Hmm, personally had no trouble getting past it (on my way to inactive lava zone entrance where I usually set up a base). Sure you get dinged a couple of times but i've just kept going and it'll back off (by the tree atleast). Pop out, and repair the leaks.

Food wise, I build an indoor growbed for infinite food & water in the cyclops.

Go the slowest possible and hug the left wall (if you're refferring to the Bulb Zone Entrance), and if he spots you, go to speed 3 and get the hell out.
If you're referring to the one where the huge skeleton is, you could try using the Blood Kelp entrance instead, the crabsquids are easily avoidable.

Honestly I never even had to hug the wall when doing the one over the chasm, heck I was so close to it

I just used smart silent running

Slow speed and silent running, if you go silent runing on normal speed you will overheat...

I did try sticking to the sides, he just circles me and doesn't leave no matter how long I wait with my power off. He just stays next to me, and the second I turn my engine on even in silent mode he attacks me. If I try to go full speed ahead he constantly attacks and can take out my cyclops in less than 10 seconds.

Hmm, I stick to one side and run slow speed. When it attacks I turn on the shield so it bounces off and then turn the shield off again until the next attack. Repeat 3-4 times until out of range.

Use the radar-like thing to your right when driving the cyclops. The bubble that expands out from it when moving is your noise.
If the yellow blip that in the ghost goes inside that bubble it attacks, otherwise it doesn't.

Stick to the walls, go slow for the least noise, hit silent running if it's to close or even turn off the engine if that's not enough. Move when it's turning to go away again.

Doing it this way may take longer but with it I have never lost a cyclops to any creature in this game.

Or for that matter. Use the sonar to line yourself up for a strait shot, hit the max speed and pop a decoy while turning on the shields when it sees you as you pass by.

Silent running will not CAUSE overheating in any CIRCUMSTANCE

overheating only occurs if you are in FULL SPEED for a certain period

The ghost leviathan isn't where he is supposed to be. He is gone completely should I be worried or not? I'm in the part of the lost river where you scan the giant skull and sometimes get attacked by the ghost piranha's i think
I know you want to get past with Cyclops but I only ever saw the Lost River as viable with Prawn suit and depth/jump jet upgrades. The river is a beautiful location though, hope you get to find the tree. :)
