There is a part where still is on shallow but it goes gradually deeper.
I haven't tried to dock the cyclops there but there is plenty of solar energy, a thermal energy close by and the scanner room can get a ton of fragments.
It's hard to explain just by telling where it is, but, it is behind the aurora, a little to the left, between your safepod and aurora.
There's no biome that has all resources; you will always have to bring some.
Fragments are all over the map; I don't think there is a location that is particularly beneficial in that regard.
Not sure what you mean when you list fauna and flora on their own.
Beauty is subjective. There are several interesting biomes, but I still like the safe shallows best, because I think they are the most colorful biome. Still, I usually build an additional base in the lost river, because it's both visually nice and practical for late game.
I had a base in the bulb zone once, which was really visually stunning. And breeding ampeels there was fun too! Did you know there are different colors? :) But strategically, it's not a good location.
Or you remove them first. :P
Nothing in Subnautica is really dangerous.
Flora: The only interesting flora is that, which can be used as resource to build things. And almost all of that can be planted. So it doesn't really matter what is close by.
I haven't really found a bad place yet. But each biome has certain advantages and disadvantages with regards to your goals.
Early game, shallow is perfect to get all of your basic needs. Plus it is good for the whole game as it's somewhat centrally located.
Nah, a real base looks way cooler :)
No agressive fauna , quiet place , and you can use the island to put some solar panel
Awesome....well done.
