or in other words, if you have ever found the degasi seabase in the deep grand reef, head nortwest from there, ez.

Thank you!

Even easier: Go to lifepod 2. It's literally right at the mouth of a major entrance, and one that lets you skip the ghost leviathan at that.

There’s ghost leviathans at each of the three paths down there, it’s really just a matter of preference.

I've made dozens of trips between my cove tree base and safe shallows base without ever encountering a ghost leviathan. Maybe it's just on the far edge of the chamber out of visual range?

Using the enterence to the LR near pod 2? Interesting cause I believe you should of seen one ....

As far as I can tell the map I’ve linked bellow is a fairly accurate map of the LR. It shows where the ghost leviathans patrol the LR with blue circles.

The pod 2 entrance is the easiest for a Cyclops, I think, and the pod beacon marker is a handy reference.

Ghost leviathan? I'm not bothering him so why should he be bothering me? :steamhappy:

I think I've come across two, maybe 3 ways to get into the Lost River area.

I make sure to always keep one or two beacons with me at all times so I can leave them as soon as i find something worth coming back to.

I've got at least two beacons marking the entrances to the Lost River.

Feels a little redundant given I also play with the map mod but it's something I can look at while piloting the cyclops.

Actaully there is an entrance with no ghost leviathan. It is below the blood kelp large wreck. That has aways been the route I take (hard to take cyclops, but I never take one down there). There are just a couple warpers and sometimes a crab squid.

But there is a ghost leviathan in the bonefields section! Thing is he seems to usually hover closer to the path that leads to bonefields from the deep grand reef then the path leading from bonefields to the B.K. Trench. As a result if you take the B.K. trench route and hug the wall you usually don’t get close enough to see him. But there is one nearby!

I always assumed this was the intended way to get there, stumbled upon it while getting harrassed by crabs.

Yes, good point, as long as you stay along the left side, you never see it. If you go along the right side, you would run into it.
