Cabin 7 Datalog
I pick it up, and get nothing. No popup, no databank entry. Is this what's supposed to happen?

There are more PDAs and Data Boxes in the world than there are PDA entries or Data Box blueprints - this lets the devs place the same entries/blueprints in multiple places to allow for different paths through the game.

That said, the Lifepod 7 entry should be unique to that Lifepod so you should have heard a survivor talking about how his Fabricator had malfunctioned and was creating toys and lab equipment instead of survival gear.

If you never heard ^that entry, you just encountered a bug.

You do get something. Check your blueprints. The relevant voice log entry to that is the message from Alterra HQ to the captain (or to anyone in Aurora, I guess...)

Cabin not lifepod. No new entries in my databank.

I've encountered the exact thing. Cabin 7 PDA, NO blueprints, audio or anything! Now I don't know if I'm missing some dialogue or important information :(
