Orange Artifact gone forever?
So I had the orange artifact stored in the Seamoth's storage. But I had a disagreement with a crashfish and my Seamoth lost in a single explosion. I didn't realise at first as I thought I'd just build another SM, but then it dawned on me I had the orange artifact stored in the old SM. I kind of just forgot about it.

Are things recoverable from a destroyed SM? I didn't see what was stored in it strewn about the place.

No it's gone forever. But there are other ways to obtain those artifacts.

Ah I see, that's alright then. I'm going to assume by crafting as I was able to craft another purple artifact. Cheers :2016popsicle:

Probably have to use the console to spawn one in.
But then, I am not far enough in the game to know if it can be crafted.

Only the purple ones can be crafted right now.

There are only one blue and one orange artifact to be found. If you for whatever reason lose them, you need to use console-commands or you're stuck in the plot.

For now it's the only way to not get stuck after accidents involving losing key-items.

Devs have us the console for a reason. In the future they are probably going to make the orange and blue artifact craftable so in the meantime, spawning a new one is not cheating.
