No, once you find whats required it should become an option, gold, Comp chip.

some of the basic items have been removed from the crafting list untill you unlock them, like a Seedcluster will unlock lube, creepvinepiece will unlock the rebrether, try crafting a computer chip and it might unlock it as its a item needed for it.

i just made the computer chip and the advanced wiring kit was unlocked i just dont know why they would do that it makes things more difficult when u dont know what u need

Agreed, I have been looking for a blueprint for an hour. :steamfacepalm:
just make a computer chip then it unlocks its simply if you the kind of player that randomy makes everything in the build menue otherwise it is a pain in the neck

It encourages people to make what they can from the basic items first so they learn how to process and manage their resources better as they play the game. For newer players that will be a good thing to learn how to advance their tech.

This is juat stupid.....hopefully its a bug they will fix, and wasnt done intentionally:steamsad:

There's nothing difficult or stupid about this. At some point you MUST build a comp chip so no matter what you should be unlocking the advanced wiring kit. Not sure why people would have an issue. Remember that this game isn't being made for veteran players. It's based on new players, who will be trying to make everything whether they need it or not.

Not a bug. It's the New Tech Tree. In the case of the Advanced Wiring Kit you'll be making a Computer Chip long before you need that kit(usually when the player makes a Habitat Builder), which is why it unlocks the kit after you make the chip.
the main problem was simply having a save game before the update went into effect i already built my habitiat builder but because of the new update it locked the advanced wiring kit...anyone stgarting a new game shouldnt have this problem

I would still like to see an in-game manual that you find which provides the tech tree for everything. It makes sense to me that such a thing would be useful for survival purposes and would be standard issue in a lifepod. Of course, you still have to find all the fragments, etc.

None of this mysterious "build a thing and something new unlocks...maybe".

You are missing the point. People like me played a year+ ago and have made several advanced wiring kits. Then when I go to make one today, the option is gone. It is in fact stupid to steal a blueprint that I had already known and used.

Check thread date. And again, nothing has been stolen from you, the game was not made with specifically you in mind. It’s not the end of the world. Deal.
