Subnautica on steam or epic?

So i tried subnautica on Xbox Gamepass and i really liked it, my gamepass is about to expire soon and i would like to get subnautica, however, i want to get it on PC. I checked subnautica on steam and it was $25 while subnautica on Epic is $8. Which platform should i buy it from? And why is the Subnautica on Epic much cheaper?

It's showing as $25 on both stores for me. Epic is having a sale at the moment (of which Subnautica is not a part of), but the $10 coupon can bring the price down to $15 on Epic.

I'd assume Steam and Epic are the same, so the only difference is which vendor you prefer.

I wouldn't support Epic. I've heard that they spy on their users. They also have more shady stuff going on there. It's better to buy games from a more reputable site like Steam.

At the end of the day both steam and epic are evil. But at least steams honest about it.

And it is for that level of honesty that I use it.

It all depends on what brand of hate you prefer. Just look at some of the posts in here from people that got subnautica for free from epic that one time looking for help - Epic doesn't have user forums so they have to go to the one other place on the planet that has them - Steam. And they always get some form of stupid comments cause "other places are bad" or something stupid.

There's like 800 launchers out there, do you really care, we're all gamers.

Anyway, if you want truly integrated support for your games and all the other community related stuff, Steam is the only option - literally.

Or you can buy it from Humblebundle.com and tell everyone off ( and then register it on steam lol ), or go with Gog.com, their launcher is getting huge upgrades lately and you don't even have to use it but you can see your entire library from all the launchers in it.
