Why am I having such a hard time getting creepvine seed clusters?
I'm in survival, I have just recently bought the game, but I know enough to know that Stalkers are very dangerous when you're first starting out. Does anyone have any good tips for getting creepvine seed clusters for the repair tool? I also have a hard time getting cave sulfur. I know where to find it, but I just can't find a cave with... whatever that exploding pufferfish thing is called. I constantly stumble upon caves with them in creative, but never in survival. Please help me.

Why do stalkers keep crowding around SPECIFICALLY the creepvine seed cluster that i'm TRYING to get?

That's where they live for the most part. There are lots of Creepvine clusters. Just keep moving and grab them as you pass.

Crashfish are plentiful also. Keep looking.

Just give them some peepers and they will be docile for a little while

Stalkers aren't scary if you use your ears.

They make specific vocalizations - one generic, one for chasing a food fish and one *when they see you and target you for attack*.

You can swim around them all day totally safely if you listen for the audio cues telling you when you need to swim away.

If you want to watch a few seconds of this - at about 1:30 I end up swimming playfully with 3 stalkers as I explain something about Creepvines. One tags me after I lose sight of him in a cluster of vines but only hits for minor damage.

They don't do much damage, and you have a medkit fab in the pod. You can just swim in, collect a few clusters, swim out! Easy as that. And, as said above, feeding them peepers make them tame for a few minutes and also bring metal salvage.

You can either strafe them until they disengage or you can feed them peepers (throw them from hotbar), or you can give them some metal scrap to play with and they'll be your friend for a few minutes.

just cut the stalkers and they will run

Well, I knew that was where they live, but they seem to constantly crowd around SPECIFICALLY the creepvine seed cluster I was trying to get, and I can't seem to find any other seed clusters.

I was trying to figure out how to give them peepers in creative mode for a while, but I can't seem to figure out how. Is there something I'm supposed to do to give them peepers? I knew you could give them peepers, but I don't know how.

I need to get creepvine seed clusters to make the survival knife, so that isn't going to work.

Ah, thank you. this might help. I didn't know how to give them peepers. I thought you just used the peeper on the stalker

Now that I think about it, Why didn't I check that to see if it was really that bad?

Put the fish on the hotbar and use it. You will then hold the fish in your hand. Just swim in front of a Stalker and he'll take the fish.

If you've got more of the same fish in your inventory, you will instantly equip the next one and can keep on feeding.
